Ryan was great with our daughter Gigi. He taught her piano over two summers breaks. She felt very comfortable with him and learned a lot. Gigi has some special health issues. Ryan was especially good about recignzing her strengths and how to get her to build on those rather than getting frustrated over what she could not do.

Ryan is terrific! He is teaching our 3 kids - ranging in age from 7-12 years old - guitar lessons and our kids are thrilled and enthusiastic about their music lessons. Ryan is phenomenal and super patient! He is a true musician and his passion shows in the way he holds his lessons. Ryan is always punctual, reliable and my husband (who had been playing guitar for nearly 30 years!!) has been extremely impressed with the progress the kids are showing week after week. Ryan is truly THE best.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $35 for a half-hour lesson and $60 for an hour lesson. This includes travel to your home! I also teach virtually.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I learn what artists a student listens to, and I tailor my lessons to help the student play the music they love.
For piano lessons, I prefer the Piano Adventures series, mixing in popular music when applicable.
For guitar lessons, if the child is 6-9, I find it's best to use method books to guide the learning process (Mel Bay, Hal Leonard, etc.). For older students and adults, I usually begin by teaching chords, strumming patterns, and picking techniques and applying these to songs they like!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've taken 12 years of guitar and bass lessons, and 13 years of piano lessons.
