Was kept WELL INFORMED, & treated with respect, Steve represented his company well. I will use Home Specialties again in the near future (spring of 2026). My friends and family have all had positive comments on my finished Vinyl Fence; it looks FANTASTIC and also reduces traffic noise.

I highly recommend Home Specialties, LLC. Steve was super easy to work with. Patient, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He took care of everything from our first conversation to the last - including the insurance. Communication is one of the most important things when I hire a contractor, and with this project it was even more vital. I do not live in Idaho and never worried about hiring Steve without meeting him. He took care of everything for my elderly mother and her home and I never doubted that all was going well. He was on time, kept me up-to-date, and replaced the roof and gutters without incident and within the time frame promised. When I needed someone again, Steve was my first and only thought, and he took care of that project days sooner than I even expected. You won't be disapointed if you hire Home Specialties, LLC for your projects.

Beware. I am five and a half months into a project with Home Specialties that should have been done in 8+/- weeks, and it is still not done. 5+ months and counting for a 350+/- sqft detached garage that is still not fully complete is unacceptable.
There was a serious lack of communication and willingness to follow through about 8 weeks in. Steve was given every opportunity to bring the project on track, but I was fed nothing but excuses, long periods of time where nothing was getting done, broken promises, conflicting accounts, and vague dates.
He may have issues paying for his subcontractors. He asked me to pay his concrete sub directly after going incognito for 10 days when he promised to restart the project. I informed him that it was not going to happen and that the project was contracted through his company, not his sub. Two and a half weeks later, I was greeted one evening by his concrete subcontractor demanding payment.
Steve was already paid 44k to that point and Home Specialties had not addressed several deficiencies in construction and damages for months until very recently after endless badgering… As of this post, there are still unresolved issues. Now that I paid his subcontractor off and Steve agreed to the chargeback, I am hoping the remaining items on the punch list will get done though I have my doubts.
