About
My approach to working with new clients is to deliver a comprehensive fitness assessment that will give me a scope of their lifestyle, medical history and issues, occupation, recreational activities, etc.. I get numbers like resting heart rate, blood pressure, weights and measurements, and cardio output. Movement assessment will allow me to observe any compensations that a client may have and if they do, then we can address those issues by incorporating corrective exercise strategies into their program at the same time. This will also establish a baseline that can be used to help to track progress.
Training sessions are 55 minutes providing one-on-one personal instruction. This, of course, requires program design that will focus on the needs and goals, in addition to hands-on instruction and education of movements. To enhance a client's goals, meal plans are also provided with a personal training package along with basic nutritional and supplemental information, weekly check-ins, and 30-day follow-ups.
I have a small fitness studio completely equipped with every aspect that makes for a complete and comprehensive fitness program, conveniently located off of Southside/Greenhurst in Nampa.

I met with Dee for our discovery part of the journey, basically talked about my goals and what I really wanted out of the personal training. Dee was extremely knowledgeable about many things and understanding about limitations due to my health. She didn't walk in and immediately try to put me to work , we sat down for a really long time and discussed what this journey is going to be. I so appreciate that she never once tried to push me towards a gym and she was understanding that after such a long illness I am basically starting over. I look forward to working with Dee and I am excited for the future in a very long time. Dee is fantastic.

I've been using Dee as my trainer for approximately three months. At first it was sporadic between my schedule but have been consistent for the last couple of months. I only see her twice a week but have noticed definite improvements in cardio endurance also reduction in low back pain due to the stretches and other flexibility movements that she has me do to the point that I do them now on my own. Also in regards to nutrition her influence has got me to eating my oatmeal with my blueberries every day. I have found that overtime when I am not able to meet with a scheduled appointment due to health issues, she checks in on me. Dee is patient with me and works to accommodate me when necessary.

Debra was really great about understanding my physical limitations and what I needed to work on to help alleviate the issues and increase my mobility. She also understood when I was unable to do some exercises, and found different ways to accomplish the same goal. I was very satisfied with the work she did with me. I would (and have) recommend her highly.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rates are comparable to other professionals within my geographical location....however, my pricing includes not only the services I provide but the location and equipment (no gym fees!).
I also can customize programs for individuals that are exercise savvy and don't require the one on one training but still want the what and the how. This would be conducted more through online communication. A consultation/fitness assessment is still required. It's important to determine if an individual has developed any compensations due to repetitive movements performed in their occupation, sports training, an injury or surgery where the affected area had not been healed or rehabbed properly.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for working with any new customer starts with a consultation. I need to hear from the client what their goals are, what is motivating those goals, what prior experiences they may have had, good or bad, when pursuing a healthier lifestyle. The information may be subjective, but it's still a perspective I need to hear from the individual. It helps me to feel where their head is at and also to possibly correct some myths or misconceptions they may have about exercise and nutrition. The consultation also covers a fitness assessment that encompasses the more objective information such as data results.
Once all of the information is obtained, I then translate back to the client how it pertains to them and how their goals will be approached. My job after that is to teach, instruct, coach, and motivate my clients so they....
**will gain more knowledge about their anatomy, kinesiology, biomechanics, exercise physiology, motor learning, and nutrition...
**will learn to develop goal-specific exercise programs that incorporate resistance, flexibility, cardiovascular, and other modes of training...
**will be able to perform exercise movements accurately and correctly with the visible results of improved posture, body alignment. and physique....
**will be able to train safely and effectively on their own...
can experience benefits to their health and wellness that will lead to improved performances of activities in daily living
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've completed my certification for CES, Corrective Exercise Specialist and now pursuing certification for Nutrition Specialist.
