- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not believe in charging my customers a service fee unless it is for a detailed and personalized itinerary. 95 % of the time I do not do this.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, I try to get a feel for what type of vacation they are looking for. In addition, I try to gauge what their travel needs are and what their price range is.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a recently retired High School History Teacher. While I was teaching, I planned and led many student travel trips to Europe, Asia, and South America. Hundreds of parents entrusted me with their children to get them to and from our tour destinations (Europe, China, etc...). Every tour was a sell out and this was where my passion for traveling first began. As a Travel Agent, I am a certified Alaska, Hawaiian, Caribbean, European, South American, and Mexico travel planner. I have experience with resorts, cruises, tours, and group travel. In addition, my History and Geography teaching background is super helpful in planning your trip.
