I recently hired Sergeto install a backsplash in my kitchen. The actual tile work itself looks good, and I appreciate that part of the job. However, I was disappointed with some aspects of the overall experience. When the 4-inch quartz backsplash was removed, there was a visible gap between the wall and the countertop. This left drywall exposed, but I wasn’t informed about it until after the work was done and I noticed it myself. He said that patching/painting the drywall wasn’t his job, but from my perspective the project feels unfinished. When I asked about finishing the sides areas with backsplash, I was told it would cost extra beyond the original quote. Additionally, the cleanup was not handled well — the countertop and backsplash area were left dusty and not properly wiped down. Overall, the backsplash installation looks nice, but the lack of communication, cleanup, and leaving the wall unfinished makes me feel the job wasn’t fully complete.

Hello, thank you for your feedback regarding the price. The original agreement and price covered only the installation of tile, including the necessary materials. Any additional work, such as adding extra walls, wall repair, or painting, falls outside of that scope and would require a separate estimate. As for the dust you mentioned, I cleaned the area as much as possible at the time of completion and explained that a light film may remain on the tiles due to fresh grout. This is normal and can be easily wiped down after 24 hours once the grout has set. Thank you again for your review and understanding.
