Alfonso saved the day. He and his son helped us finish a grueling move that had come down to the wire to finish. He helped us calm down and get organized and load a truck after all the large furniture had been moved and many odds and ends were left in a house lived in for 40 years. For 20 years in my house I accumlated storage in my basement that was out of control. The space was unuseable for my growing family. I decided to contact OSM for help and to get my basement back. OSM was very helpful and the consultations guided me in right direction. The organizing was fantastic as we got rid of all the non essential items and put items in their proper place. Living with clutter can be very frustrating, my husband and I could never agree on what to keep or throw out. So, to avoid arguing we kept everything. Over the last 25 years, the clutter had become unmanageable. We needed help, and we didn’t have the time or strength to do it on our own. I didn’t know where to turn until I stumbled on meeting Alphonso from OSM. He took the time to meet with us and come up with a game plan. Once we got started, I could breathe again. Alphonso was amazing! He was super responsive, detail oriented, professional, and most importantly took the time to LISTEN to exactly what I needed—and he delivered on it! I have a particularly difficult stone fireplace that I needed a mantle hung on, and he was persistent and careful to research and complete the job the right way. I also asked if he would hang a few other items for me and install some curtain rods, and he did so the next day! He is friendly, skilled, and a pleasure to work with. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Every customer is unique, so my approach is always tailored to their specific needs, personality and their desired level of involvement with the project. From the development of the plan, to the hands-on aspect of the project (if any). I request that my clients ask me as many questions as needed until we agree that all of the details have been properly addressed before any work begins. Using this approach ensures that the plan of action of fully agreed upon which enables me to meet and hopefully exceed their expectations every time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?My Handyman skills has primarily been learned on the job working with several licensed contractors over the years, reading code standard and DYI books. I am currently working becoming certified through the Association of Certified Handyman Professionalsl. As for my Home Organizing Training, I completed a 12 week certification program for Certified Home Organizing Professionals and will continue honing my education and skills by taking classes through Association of Professional Home Organizers.
