I came to see Laura to work on public speaking skills but soon realized I had fears and anxieties - even physical symptoms - speaking up just in professional meetings and being in social situations. I realized I had lost my self-confidence and comfort being with people in reality due to too much time in virtual contact - on my phone or computer, etc. Now, I look forward to speaking in public again, going to meetings to challenge and feel the return of my confidence -- but also the good feeling it is to be in real contact with people and not just through text messages and emails. Through our sessions, I realized it was just a temporary loss due to bad habits I let develop.

In mid-September, Positively Naperville received a letter to the editor from Loren Michaels Harris regarding an NPR.org story about the Ohio police release of graphic overdose photos featured on Sept. 12, 2016. As publisher of the hyper local monthly publication in a city focused on fighting addictions and drug abuse of all kinds, I was struck by Loren’s thoughtful, timely and meaningful words, especially as they related to local initiatives such as “Connect for Life,” “KidsMatter,” and Project H.E.L.P. His reference to being a motivational speaker and his never-ending story of survival prompted my wondering about a presentation to our Rotary Club of Naperville-Downtown. Our small Rotary club is always looking for 30-minute programs. Speakers are invited to present educational topics such as the one addressed in his letter. We talked, we met, Loren agreed and the date was set for Oct. 26. Though electronics failed to connect that afternoon, preventing members from viewing Loren’s video introduction, he punted ably, landed on his feet and started from the very beginning of his 54 years. The trials and tribulations that have contributed to Loren’s strength of character and determination live within an engaging story of surviving one birth mother, one adoptive mother, and 20 foster mothers. Against so many obstacles, Loren is a survivor of the foster care system who says his only source of continual healing from the scars of foster care comes from addressing the need for better protection of all children, especially from social media, neighbor to neighbor. Rotarians experienced a very compelling presentation by a man who appears to be at home with his powerful story, one that needs to be told over and over—with or without the video introduction.

John was excellent to work with in every facet. He was quick to respond and engaging in the process leading up to his presentation, and his engagement (I wouldn't call it a "speech", as there was so much audience participation) was excellent. I would highly recommend.

Received a tremendous amount of awesome feedback from my employees. It is not unusual for people to still be talking about this after a day, but people were still talking about this the next week and they are still talking! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

      About

Maureen Muldoon is a sought after spiritual counselor, speaker, creative life coach and corporate consultant. She has empowered and inspired thousands to find their authentic voice and claim and create and commit to living the life of their dreams. She has had the privilege of coaching both the developing artists as well as internationally recognized names. Her journey began in New York City, where as a young actress working in stage and TV, she facilitated and taught small groups on acting technique and how to breaking into the business without losing yourself. Her own career took her to LA where she spent 20 years in Hollywood as an accomplished writer, producer, director and star of TV and film. It was in California that she firmly developed her powerful intuitive ability to assist artists and became known as a creative midwife. As her coaching clientele grew, she slowly surrendered her own acting career to be more fully present to helping others soar. Her attention turned to adding spiritual technologies to her offerings, and in 2005, she became a fully licensed spiritual counselor. Her license and training from the United Centers for Spiritual Living is a nationally recognized certification. In 2008, she was hired by World Ministry of Prayer in LA to support individuals from around the world by using the healing power of prayer. In 2009, she was hired as the Director of Sacred Circles for the Bodhi Spiritual Center in Chicago where she helped groom and support new spiritual leaders. Under her watch, the program tripled its size in 2 years. Her philosophy is steeped in the idea that spirituality and creativity are synonymous. Authenticity and humor are the pillars of her ministry. She is the creator of a monthly story-and-song night that provides the community with an opportunity to experience the healing nature of stories. Along with supporting artists, she is passionate about grooming and mentoring leaders and teachers. For the past 2 decades, she has established women's sacred circles across the country, specifically New York, New Jersey, Texas, Virginia, Chicago and LA. Maureen Muldoon is available for counseling by appointment in person or on the phone. She offers corporate consultation to help build authentic communication, conscious growth structures, productive processes and greater integrity in the work space. As a teacher, she has facilitated workshops and classes across the country to audiences as large at 8,000 people. Maureen is an avid student and sought after teacher of A Course in Miracles & Religious Science. Her music, stories, meditations, theatre productions and prayers have been entertaining and inspiring folks for the past 2 decades.
