- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
To be honest I never really was a "Vogue" or "Elle" reader. I personally think that many of those although beautiful fashions, just aren't practical wear for the average man or woman. However, within the last few years I have researched more current as well as future trends via some magazines and the internet. I've found three major things in my research...1. fashion is cyclic and it comes back again and again in some way or another....and 2. All fashion isn't meant for everyone. People come in different heights, shapes, and sizes. At the end of the day, it's my job to figure out what works and what doesn't. 3. Most of what's presented to us via magazines is not affordable,
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would advise a customer to look for someone who actually listens and has the ability to thus help you with your needs.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish that customers knew that I absolutely love what I do! I wish they knew that this is a passion and not just a job. There is a real joy in providing joy to others through fashion. Although the fashion industry is labeled as pretentious and shallow (and it can be), there are many of us who just want to utilize it for something good. Last but certainly not least, I wish that customers could know how much time, effort, and energy actually goes into shopping for and styling them. It's not nearly as easy to dress someone you hardly know as it is to dress yourself.
