About
I truly love what I do! I put my whole heart into my business, and always try to go above and beyond what is expected of me. This isn't a "job" for me...I love building lasting relationships with my customers AND their pets. I am grateful to be able to make a living doing something that I enjoy so much, and try to make sure to let that show in the way I run my business and treat my customers. My job doesn't feel like work to me. Every morning, when I look over my schedule to see who I will be visiting that day, I smile, because each animal becomes like a friend to me, and I love walking into the house and seeing their happy faces and wagging tails greeting me, and knowing they are as happy to see me as I am to see them. It's a great way to spend my days!!

Dog walking required. They got back to me immediately, came by to meet the dog within hours and were available on short term notice. I would highly recommend Kisses and snugs, and will be using them for quite a while! Thanks!

Pam is great! My little girl loves her and I feel much better about leaving her for work when I know Pam is coming to walk her and feed her,

Pam is absolutely wonderful with my girls. She sends pictures and text updates to let me know how they are when I'm not there. I can tell when I get home that they have been loved that day and when I tell them Pam is coming, they are thrilled :) It truly puts me at ease to know they are well taken care of...and best of all, there have been no "accidents" in the house since she's started coming! I can't thank her enough for loving my girls for me when I can't be there to do it myself. :)

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I am actually a CPA, but working as an accountant was always very stressful. When my son was diagnosed with Diabetes, I decided I needed to do something that would allow me to have a flexible schedule, but also allow me to have a clear head so that I could focus on all the things I needed to learn about caring for him. A friend suggested I start a pet sitting business, since she knew how much I loved dogs...and the rest is history. I can't imagine doing anything else, and feel I found my calling in life. I absolutely love what I do, now.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

My week days are spent going from house to house, walking dogs, or taking them out in the yard for a potty break/playtime, while their owners are at work. In addition to my "regulars", I also usually have a few customers on vacation, so I visit those homes as well, usually 3-4 times per day, for potty breaks, walks, feedings, etc. I also care for cats, who usually require just one visit per day, for feeding, litter box cleaning, and TLC. When people are on vacation, I also get their mail daily, as well as take the trash out on garbage day, if they want. And with all visits, whether someone on vacation or just at work for the day, if I notice any packages at the front door, I always bring them in the house.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Dogs are a good judge of character, so when meeting with a potential pet sitter, watch how your dog acts around them...and watch how they interact with your dog. Also, I would suggest asking for, and actually calling, references. You want to know that you are hiring someone you can trust with your pet and in your home.
