Vidya is an EXCELLENT teacher of Yoga. Weekly classes are varied, interesting and fun with a focus on all parts of the body...even breathing. Vidya is aware of students' skill levels and adapts movements for each participant, enabling all to participate, no matter their ability &/or limitations. Vidya is a wonderful yoga instructor. She make everyone feel like they are her only concern. She watches to make sure you are doing the moves properly and asks questions to see if you are aware of your moves and what they do for your well being. As a beginner, I was a bit intimidated at first, but Vidya suggests variations of each exercise or pose so we can challenge ourselves appropriately. The beginning of each class allows us to become fully centered and present before the hard work begins. I feel stronger and more balanced each week!Oct 18, 2013
I enjoy going to the class every week. The stretching has been very good for me. Vidya explains every move and makes sure everyone is doing it correctly. She also shows us how to modify if we need to.Oct 21, 2013
Vidya's classes are excellent. She provides a full body workout which is always challenging. The variety of the classes is also a plus - it's not the same class each session. Vidya is a kind and supportive teacher. I would highly recommend Vidya's classes.Aug 18, 2013
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?VYAYAM yoga and pilates classes are $45 per person per month for once a week (four weeks per month) group class. Twice a week group classes are $80 per person and $100 per person for a monthly pass to enjoy all the classes on the schedule for the month. VYAYAM private classes are $70 per person per hour-long class on pay as you go basis. A package of 5 pre-paid classes is available for $300, 10 prepaid private classes are $500. All fees are valid at VYAYAM's Buffalo Grove location only.
- What types of customers have you worked with?I offer group and private lessons in yoga and pilates using mat, stability balls, medicinal balls, resistance bands, rings. These workouts are excellent for improving core strength, balance, flexibility, quality of life and for losing weight. You'll also learn to regulate your breath effectively, laugh more often and freely, relax and let go. Each session starts with joints and glands warm-up exercises and ends with a top to bottom relaxation, pranayam, meditation and laughter. Explore it to experience and evolve into your healthier selves.
