Congratulations! Your wedding ceremony is the beginning of your new life together. This is something that should reflect your personalities and leave you with the happily ever after feeling. I specialize in writing ceremonies so I want to get to know you, hear your love story, your dreams and your goals. I will incorporate that into your ceremony. I will send you a copy of your ceremony for your approval and welcome any changes. You can add your special touch with a Unity Candle Ceremony, Sand Ceremony, personal readings or any other ceremony you choose. (see under "more" then "add a special touch") This is your special day and should be what you want. I offer different ideas that you usually won't see at other ceremonies to make yours truly "a wedding to remember"! She had many ideas how to arrange the procession. She always made sure we were doing things we wanted. She did not judge us and our beliefs. She was very nice to my family and wedding party and made the experience less anxious. She accommodated our choice to do a knot ceremony which she hadn't performed before and she researched how conduct it. My husband and I loved the idea that she read names of loved ones who have passed as tribute. Although at the ceremony, I think she could've slowed a tiny bit when reading the names aloud. She was on time for the ceremony and rehearsal. She looked professional the day of. When I got choked up during the vows she looked at me whisoered to me to take a breath and smiled. It meant s lot. We had Many compliments from my guests. Barbara was a tremendous officiator and really helped us along the way and was someone we could really depend on to have the ceremony run smoothly.

My husband, David, and I were married by Barbara Chandler on July 16, 2016. From the moment we contacted her and throughout all of our correspondence (ours was a long distance wedding), she was gracious, quick to respond, and extremely helpful. Barbara was aware of our wedding timeline and kept in touch with us periodically. She drafted our ceremony and sent it to us months before for our approval. Several days prior to our wedding, she called to confirm the details and see if we had any questions. On the day of our wedding, Barbara promptly arrived at the venue, waited for the photographer to take our First Look pictures, and then walked us through a brief rehearsal several times. She was prepared, flexible, and organized, and always asked for our input. Barbara conducted the ceremony in a very professional way, yet personalized it to make it our own. David and I can honestly say that we were extremely pleased with our overall experience with Barbara. She exceeded our expectations, and we thank Thumbtack for the reference. We highly recommend Reverend Chandler to anyone who is looking for an officiant in the Chicago area!

Let's just start off with saying Barbara was outstanding. She officiated our wedding and was nothing short of perfect. I posted an "Ad" on Thumbtack saying we needed an officiant. I received about 6 emails and after getting a few quotes Barbara stood out because of her reasonable fees and a positive feeling i received when sending those first few messages back and forth. In regards to the job itself, all we needed was something very simple. We needed an officiant for our wedding. My wife and I decided our ceremony was going to be short and sweet so all that we needed was for her to come to our rehearsal the night before and be there for about 45 minutes the day of. Barbara showed up early to both the rehearsal and the ceremony (which totally helped bring stress levels down). She was very flexible in regards to what we wanted, how we wanted it and she molded the ceremony around us. Her words were beautiful, it went for the perfect amount of time (about 20 minutes) and we were extremely satisfied. Also, she was very professional when it came to the marriage license portion. Very prompt in getting us a copy which really means a lot to because to my wife and I that meant she takes her position very seriously and it didn't "end" as soon as she was done with the ceremony.

If I could give Barbara 10 stars I would! She is very easy to to work with and works very hard to give you the ceremony of your dreams. My ceremony was a bit harder because we are mixing to religions, she helped us meld the two together and gave us some unique ideas to make our wedding special and memorable. Barbara makes it her priority to give you exactly what you want for your special day. She also worked with our busy schedules and met us wherever was convenient for us. She truly put us first and took care of every question or concern we had about our big day. I highly recommend Barbara and I am so thankful to have such an awesome caring person to help me merry my best friend!
