I was expected to pay $350.00 for only a shut-off valve (something I could buy at Lowe's) when I requested a shut-off box installed behind the refrigerator.
However, we were able to negotiate the rate to a more reasonable rate for 5 minutes of labor.
Contractors need to care about others in these challenging times. You know that was not worth $350.00; everything was in place, and there was NO WORK for you to do.

Thank you for your feedback. However, we would like to clarify the situation for other readers.
You contacted us to have a shut-off valve installed so that your refrigerator could be connected. We informed you upfront that this was a separate plumbing job, and the cost for the work, including the technician’s travel to a distant location, materials, and professional installation, was $350.
Our technician completed the job quickly and efficiently because of his expertise and because everything was prepared in advance. This is one of the benefits of working with professionals. A fast job doesn’t mean it’s worth less – we always aim to save you time while maintaining high-quality service.
Unfortunately, after the work was completed, you refused to pay the originally agreed amount and insisted on paying only $200. We made a concession to avoid conflict, though we believe this was unfair.
We are sorry that you were dissatisfied, but we are always open to dialogue and aim to operate with honesty and professionalism.
