About
We're an acoustic duo, but we cover ground most acoustic acts don't — rock, soul, folk, and pop. Cocktail hour stays mellow. The dance floor gets loud. Ceremony gets the feel that matters most.
Chris has played nearly 2,000 shows across his career, including opening for George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic. Chuck came up through the Chicago theater scene — plays, musicals, festivals — and brings that performer's instinct to every set.
You'll get a set list shaped around your taste, your guests, and the moments that matter most. Setup and breakdown are always included. Travel is no charge across Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
Loose enough for a front-porch hang, tight enough for the first dance.

We've worked with Neighborhood Kids on multiple occasions and they consistently deliver an outstanding experience. From our first conversation, they asked thoughtful questions about our vision and remained flexible as details evolved—never making us feel rushed or dismissed. What really sets them apart is their ability to read the room and adjust their set in real time, keeping the energy exactly where it needed to be throughout the night. Their song selection spans everything from classic hits to current favorites, so there's genuinely something for every guest. If you're looking for a band that's not only talented but genuinely invested in making your celebration unforgettable, Neighborhood Kids is worth every penny.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing depends on event type, length, and location. Most wedding bookings land between $1,500 and $2,500, with a $1,200 floor for shorter events like a cocktail hour and a $3,500 ceiling for full ceremony, cocktail, and reception coverage. Setup and breakdown are always included. Travel is no charge across Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we get on a call or trade emails to talk through the day — venue, timeline, vibe, must-play and do-not-play songs, special moments like first dance or processional. We send a contract with the details locked in. A few weeks out, we confirm the song list and any last-minute requests. On the day, we arrive early, set up, and play.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Couples planning weddings, hosts running private parties, companies booking corporate events, and venues across Chicago — Montrose Saloon and others. Sizes range from 25 guests at a backyard rehearsal dinner to 200+ at a full reception.
