I had an appointment scheduled 2 weeks in advance. They tried to come a week early. We reconfirmed for the next week and they never showed up. I called all 3 numbers provided and messaged them on this app. No response after 1 hour late. Finally called me back saying they must have mixed up the appointment but they could still come out. No. I contacted another cleaner and they were here within an hour and did excellent work.Dec 21, 2017VerifiedJason T.'s reply
Hi Megan, sorry for the confusion. I am glad you were about to get the job completed before the holidays. This is the busiest time of the year for carpet and upholstery cleaning. We strive to be punctual and accurate for each client. The best way to contact us is directly by phone or email when replying through thumbtack it does not distinguish between new customer leads and messages from previously contacted customers. We get over 50 text alerts a day from thumbtack we can not service every customer and once we have a full schedule we don't reply to new leads. We are working on a new system to filter all incoming messages and will have it updated by the new year. Originally the appointment was for Dec 13th. You informed us that would not work as you had prior engagement. We agreed to come Thursday however it was not clear or confirmed that it was for today the 21st. The messages don't show a date and we assumed it was for that same week and actually had a technician come out last Thursday. All of our correspondence was through the thumbtack message app and it was not confirmed in our calender as I just am now seeing you reply confirming for today. I appreciate you considering to work with us and will make strides to prevent this from happening in the future. We take this matter very seriously and would hate to waste anyones time. Thanks for your response and have a happy holidays. Jason.
Jason is very knowledgeable and takes the time to educates the consumer on the components of the work that needs to be performed. This provides for an authenticity level that the other contractors are lacking. He also made recommendations and provided guide on the pros / cons of these recommendations. His crew is very hard working and carry a professional demeanor in their task completion. Highly recommend his services, as they went beyond the basic that other companies are providing.Sep 17, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Prices are charged in one of 3 ways, by the hour, by room or square foot. For smaller cleaning projects we can quote you right over the phone or by email. For larger deep cleaning or restoration projects, it maybe necessary to do a walk through inspection. A simple google cost to remediate mold or for water damage restoration in our area range from $3 a Sq foot all the way to $18 per Sq foot. Estimates and quotes can vary tremendously from one another and can leave you as a customer more confused than before you called someone. Beware of free estimates, while we can give a free quote a written estimate with specifications and measurement is far more accurate. Please remember Time + Quality + Cost = Value. With water and mold damage calls particular, say you have one company which gives a complete inspection and written protocol to remediate and restore your area for $1,200. Another company gives you an estimate to restore the same area for $800. Just looking at the numbers the 2nd company appears to be the better choice. What happens a lot in this industry because there is no regulation that mandates certification for mold remediation is you have a lot of contractors skipping steps either to lower the cost of the job or because they are unaware of the right protocols. The only way to know the value of the 2 estimates is to see them itemized out. The one for $1,200 may have 9 different steps to complete the remediation while the $800 only has 5. There are many corners that can be cut in this business you have a right to know the right way to do things so you may make an informed decision on which company to hire.
