Introduction: My name is J, and I’ve spent most of my life playing and teaching the cello. Teaching is my greatest passion, and I get so much joy from getting to know each individual student and helping them on their musical journey. I work with absolute beginner musicians, advanced pre-conservatory musicians, and every level in between. I can also offer Music Theory tutoring to people of any instrumental background. All of my students receive: - Weekly lessons of 30, 45, or 60 minutes - Access to my library of teaching materials - FREE trial lessons for all prospective students I am also an experienced event musician; I can perform classical, contemporary, and pop music by myself or with colleagues. It’s my pleasure to make your event as enjoyable and memorable as possible. I commonly perform solo, in a duo (violin and cello), or in a string quartet (2 violins, viola, cello) For your event, I will: - Curate a set list appropriate to your event - Find sheet music for special requests - Write my own arrangements for special requests (*Must allow 30 days to complete) - Form a complete ensemble of your desired instrumentation

J is an outstanding musician and educator. The ability to play multiple styles of music and quickly adapt to changes make J an excellent cellist for any situation or occasion. The ability to assess and re-assess students and then redirect teaching to the end goal are qualities that make J and outstanding educator.
