Learn everything on how to make a successful oil painting. I am specializing in old-master techniques, and portrait painting. I am starting from smaller-scale works to larger canvases. Starting from learning to make a support to paint on, which products to choose, paints, and mediums, I am working specifically with the individual to realize their goal and to master their technique. Painting from life or from a photograph, the student will be encouraged to work towards a sense of realism in their painting and/or a knowledge of rendering things correctly. I work with basic tools in Photoshop to help utilize your reference and learn to make correct proportions. The lessons are open-ended and designed towards the direction the student is feeling or encouraged to learn. I am willing to train in pastel, oil, acrylic, egg tempra, charcoal, graphite, watercolor, and most everything in between. Supplies will not be included in the lessons; hopefully, you are willing to invest in some good supplies for your interest in painting.
