Introduction: I am a signed recording artist and performer with over 2 million streams cross-platform. I graduated from NYU's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music in 2020 with honors. I've sold out shows in New York, LA and all around the Chicagoland area. In my teaching practice I focus not on the books, theory or any other external factors but on my students' desire to find their own inner voice. Walker is great, only had one lesson so far but he’s definitely a fun and very knowledgeable coach. Clearly knows what he’s doing and super easy going. Definitely going to continue working with him weekly!

Walker is truly one of a kind. He is amazingly talented but makes even the most novice player feel at ease. He cares deeply about his students and goes out of his way to understand their tastes and goals. He is incredibly patient, thoughtful, and immensely fun to work with. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is an inspiring teacher and anyone who has the opportunity of working with him will understand immediately just how wonderful he is.

Ive been taking lessons on guitar and, more recently, ukulele with Walker for a little over year via virtual and in person lessons. He is extremely knowledgeable, a very patient, positive, and encouraging teacher, and makes lessons/ homework so much fun that it makes you want to really put in the effort to keep leveling up. Sometimes learning the basics of anything can get a bit dull, but Walker makes sure that he is tailoring lessons to your musical tastes and aspirations. Ive come so far in just a year and change and have experienced so much enrichment in my life because of it! Walker is insanely talented in his own right which makes learning from him especially motivating with the hope of one day being even a fraction as proficient and creative as he. Cant recommend him as a teacher enough!

Walker is an excellent teacher. Ive found him to be a stunningly good guitarist and singer, being able to explain any aspect of guitar or music theory, and having a deeper perspective on music than many other teachers.His super positive attitude has helped me to actually have fun playing. I pick up the instrument on my own more often than feeling the dreaded obligated to practice. I have learned lots from his encyclopedic knowledge of guitar licks and chord progressions. Right now, Im thinking of a classic Jimi Hendrix trick he taught me.I would recommend him to guitarists of any level. For me, he helped solidify and fill in the gaps in my knowledge, while encouraging me in a direction of truly enjoying music.

I came to Walker to learn jazz and I could not have expected to find a more outstanding teacher! Aside from being one of the most talented musicians I've met or seen, in our lessons Walker was able to provide deep, crystal-clear instruction and explanation of how guitar playing, songs, and music work. I came in as an unconfident new guitarist, not knowing much more than a couple chords. Since beginning lessons with Walker, I have learned way more than I would've expected in a couple months -- how to play chords in all different positions, understanding how each chord and scale fits in each key, improvising over jazz standards, and even starting to write my own song!! Most importantly, our lessons have drastically increased my confidence in working through being a beginner, practicing on my own, and helping my love of music to blossom. I would recommend Walker to anybody who would want to expand their guitar playing, make music and chords and songs make more sense to them, or gain a more positive approach to music or even life!

It's all about getting to know you and what excites you about music/the guitar. My process as a teacher unfolds naturally through connection and engagement with each student.
