Nextech Energy installed a Door Bird answering system for us. To say that it was a challenge installing it at our 100 year-old house would be an understatement. They persisted to a successful end. The system has been working without a hitch for 2 years.
The Door Bird system is convenient to use (it can be accessed anywhere from a smart 'phone) and being able to monitor activity at our front gate provides a sense of security. I found an unexpected benefit soon after it was installed when we were away from home for Thanksgiving. There was a report of a major snow storm in Chicago and I was concerned that our flight home might be cancelled. Through the Door Bird app on my iPhone I was able to see a bicycle rider on the street in front of our house and immediately was reassured that our travel plans were secure.
