FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is based on transparency and honesty, with no hidden fees or unexpected charges. The cost of cleaning depends on several factors: the size of the property, number of rooms and bathrooms, the type of cleaning (standard or deep cleaning), and any additional services requested β such as carpet cleaning, baseboard detailing, or heavy-duty cleaning in specific areas. Before we start any job, we always provide a clear estimate so the customer knows the expected total price upfront. We do not change pricing during the service without prior approval. In some cases, we offer discounts β for example, for recurring services (weekly or monthly cleanings) or for returning customers. We may also provide custom offers for long-term clients. Any additional services are always discussed and agreed upon in advance to avoid misunderstandings. Our goal is to keep pricing simple, fair, and predictable, while ensuring high-quality results that match the value clients expect.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our typical process for working with a new customer is simple and hassle-free: Free consultation β You contact us via phone, text, or website. We ask a few quick questions (address, size of space, type of cleaning needed, any specific requests or problem areas). Upfront quote β Based on that conversation, we give you a fixed price. No surprises, no hidden fees. Schedule the job β You choose a date and time that works for you. We arrive on time (or notify you 15 minutes before if we're held up by traffic). Walkthrough before we start β On the first visit, we do a quick 5-minute walkthrough with you to confirm priorities and point out any delicate surfaces or areas that need extra attention. We clean β You leave or stay working β we don't mind. We bring our own professional equipment and supplies. Final inspection together β After we finish, we walk through the space with you (if you're home) to make sure you're 100% happy. If something isn't right, we fix it immediately at no extra cost. Payment & next steps β You pay the agreed price. We ask if you'd like to schedule regular maintenance (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) β no pressure, just an option. That's it. No contracts, no deposits required for standard jobs (for large post-construction or mansions β small deposit may apply).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We're not just "people with a rag." Every team member at Clean Slate Co. has: Professional cleaning certification β courses from recognized organizations (such as ISSA or ARC) covering which products to use on different surfaces (marble, wood, stainless steel, glass-ceramic) and how to avoid damage. Chemical safety training β we know how to work with professional-grade cleaners (neutral, alkaline, acidic), including proper dilution, dwell time, and safety protocols. "Hospital-grade" hygiene standard β specific training for bathrooms and kitchens on how to disinfect without cross-contamination (toilet β sink β cutting board is a no-go). Annual quality assessment β every cleaner is tested once a year on speed, attention to detail, and knowledge of new materials (e.g., ultra-matte countertops or streak-free glass). Basic communication skills β we speak clear English (or Russian upon request) to understand your needs and answer questions without awkwardness. Bottom line: We don't hire random people. Every cleaner passes a practical exam on a training apartment before stepping into a customer's home. Fail the exam β you don't get to clean.
