- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely. I continue to take workshops at MakeUp First School of Chicago, with MAC Cosmetics, and whenever I attend professional beauty shows. I also follow many accomplished makeup artists in the media and keep up to date with new products and techniques.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I absolutely loved makeup from a very young age, and started to get my hands on it as a teenager. I was the friend doing everyone's makeup for parties and events. However, I did not start considering it as a profession until some years ago. I went to college for Psychology and worked in the mental health/social work field for several years (another passion of mine). My dream is to blend both lines of work one day.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I would say weddings are the most sought after jobs that I do. Also beauty and professional head shots.
