Jon is an AMAZING trainer!!! He's incredibly knowledgeable, highly skilled, and so passionate about training! He is so innovative when it comes to training sessions and comes up with unique routines to best meet your needs. He clearly explains how to execute every move and helps you understand how to achieve health and fitness results efficiently and effectively. Having never worked with a personal trainer before, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Jon makes the entire process less intimidating and adapts each routine to my abilities. He brings a knowledgeable and creative approach to fitness. We never do the same routine twice, which makes each session more enjoyable. He also makes himself available outside of training sessions to answer questions or to help me plan workouts for days that we don't have sessions. Jon is a great trainer. He is dedicated and very knowledgeable. He has shown a lot of flexibility in meeting our training needs with changing schedules and locations. Jon makes frequent assessments and adjustments based on our feedback. He is a good listener and has great suggestions for overall wellness needs. - What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Yoga Alliance Accredited Teacher, and an Adaptive Recovery Consultant.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?There is no greater joy in my line of work than to witness a total transformation of a client. In most cases, my client’s initial goals are predominately physically, such as losing weight or building muscle, but once they completed their physical transformation, many come to find they are mentally in a place that they never thought was possible. Aside from their increased confidence having achieved their physical goals, they are happier, more relaxed, sleeping better, and overall, fulfilled. My methodology as an Active Recovery Consultant allows my clients to experience the full list of benefits, both mental and physical, achieved through the well-balanced approach to health and fitness.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?I have recently began to offer a program that allows anyone no matter their age, experience and knowledge in health and fitness to discover how well they are recovering from their workouts; achieve the right amount of sleep to optimize their daily life productivity and minimize stress; and overall, ensure that whatever their daily habits consist of, from their health choices, fitness routines, and sleep hygiene, that it is sustainable for the long-term. It’s just as is important to receive the best possible results as it is to avoid any negative conditions from traveling the wrong path. As an Adaptive Recovery Consultant, I have been compiling research and working with clients and myself using these strategies for 10+ years.
