FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Cat Boarding: 1 cat: $20 a day. Dog walking $15 for 1/2 walk. Longterm discounts are available.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Regarding felines: Typically, kitty mom drops off her feline complete with litter, litter box, food and meds..if applicable. A carrier is preferred, but I do have an extra one, just in case. I'll need your vets name and phone number. You are welcome to hang out a little to help create a smooth transition. At your house, well, your feline calls the shots. I'll do my utmost to accommodate him/her. :) Regarding Canines: I walk or feed small, medium to large (but gentle) dogs in the Lincoln Square, Ravenswood or North Center neighborhoods.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
FELINES I've been around cats since I was a little girl in southern California. First, there was Tiger, our great feline warrior...He fought off the neighborhood's panther cat---then brought both his mates to our house and helped raise two litters on our patio. He was a great parent and sitter for his mates' litters.... Years later in Michigan, Misha moved her brood, one kitten at a time, into the basket I set up in the gangway---We made way for Pinkerton, Pepsi, Penelope, Perseus and Peppermint. I adopted Camus and brought him to Chicago from Michigan in 2001. He was a great traveler and my constant companion until he passed away in 2014. I'm not quite ready to find a new full-time companion but I do enjoy entertaining and caring for my feline guests... CANINES I moved to Chicago in 2000. My first roommate in Chicago a Chesapeake Bay Retriever by name of Zach. My human housemate had left for a medical residency in California, so Zach took her place. We were inseparable. I never knew I loved dogs so much until I met Zach. We explored the Chicago neighborhood scene together, hitting all the doggy parks and beaches, till his owner's return the following month.
