About
Welcome! I am an internationally recognized vocalist, having performed in over 8 countries. I am currently based out of Chicago where I work professionally, mainly as a Jazz/Contemporary artist. I have been teaching for over 7 years and I teach in English and Spanish. Whether you're a beginner, coming back after decades off, or an advanced player, my lessons can help you reach the next steps and achieve your goals!
I also teach beginner piano as well! It's never too early to start!

Ricardo is such a great teacher! He is patient during lessons, and is very encouraging - Ive learned so much not only about trumpet but music in general with him. Highly recommend for adult students!

Ricardo is a professional, dedicated and experienced teacher. He is an accomplished performer, a well rounded and experienced multi-cultural artist. I've enjoyed being a colleague of his for the past few years since he moved back to Chicago after spending time playing music all over the world. I would recommend Ricardo as a teacher of students of all ages and skill levels!

Ricardo is a fantastic teacher! I started as a beginner with him and remember being nervous to take singing lessons for the first time in while, but he made me feel comfortable, right at home and helped me to find my voice! Not only is he a great vocal teacher but also has extensive knowledge about music as a whole ranging from genres to music theory! He even helped me learn to start reading music! Cannot recommend enough!

Ricardo is one of the finest musicians and teachers I've had the opportunity to work with in Chicago. His knowledge of the mechanics of the human voice has completely changed the way I see my own singing and given me the tools to elevate my craft. He's also easy-going, warm and exceedingly kind. Highly recommend.
