- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to make the process as fun, yet productive, as possible. We can meet in the student's home or at a nearby cafe: where the student will be both comfortable and not distracted.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I double-majored in Economics (a lot of math) and Public Policy (a lot of writing, critical thinking, and problem solving) at uChicago in Hyde Park. The University of Chicago has the most extensive common core requirements of any University, so I have taken courses in many subjects. I have been tutoring for several years and have seen remarkable success. For example, one of my students improved his score on the ACT from a 19 to a 30. Another one of my students went from a 15 to a 26. Many of my students score in the 30s. My system works! I have written and ebook for ACT preparation and I am a speed reading expert. I have used my experience tutoring to constantly improve my style, approach, and methods. I follow the research on learning closely and try to implement these findings into my tutoring approach.
