Introduction: I teach Italian. I do Italian translating of documents and Italian interpreting. I also work in hospitals doing medical interpreting of the Italian language. I grew up in Italy, and thanks to Facebook, Skype and the telephone, I still communicate every weekend with family and friends in Italy. Therefore, I am current with the language. I work with all ages, from children to adults. I am very patient and easygoing. It doesn't matter if you just need one lesson to refresh your knowledge or create a continuing class. I charge hourly, and it varies per distances. I will travel, or you come to me.

I hired Bea to provide an in-home Italian language lesson for my wife's birthday (we're planning a trip to Italy next year). Bea spent her childhood in Italy and still communicates regularly in Italian so she really knew her stuff. Throughout the process, she was responsive, helpful and even brought some traditional Italian desserts along for the lesson (along with handouts). Highly recommended for Italian tutoring!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually charge $50 per hour for my services. Please note this includes myself being available all the time by telephone and computer. If extensive travel to your place is needed, I will request additional funds.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Get to know the client and what they want. Some people prefer worksheets galore, while others prefer just speaking. I also need to know how often they wish to meet. I am always available by telephone or internet if needed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Education. After 25 years of teaching children how to read and write English, I am now semi-retired and work as a substitute teacher, while tutoring adults in Italian.
