As a wedding officiant with over 20 years of experience, it is an honor to walk with couples at the beginning of their sacred journey. I take time to get to know you so we can create a unique service together—whether you have 2 guests or 200, the care and quality never change.
I also offer one-on-one support in writing your vows. I don’t use templates; instead, I help you find the sacred words that reflect your story, values, and love.
I handle your marriage license, making sure it’s completed and mailed in correctly, and I’m available for any questions throughout the process.
I also offer renewal of vows, child blessings, and life blessings—each created as a sacred, meaningful celebration for you and your loved ones.

My partner and I wanted a simple ceremony at our special spot near the lake in Chicago. Reverend Kurt answered our initial contact within an hour. In speaking with Rev. Kurt, he asked the caring questions anyone performing a marriage ceremony would want asked! For example, "Do you need help with writing vows?" We had ours ready, he then said great, "How about this for a way to start the ceremony..." and then he spoke the most beautiful words about two coming together in marriage. He was dressed in his Rev. clothing, was at our spot before we were, and proceeded to conduct the most beautiful service we could not have imagined. Rev. Kurt spontaneously looked around & included the beauty of our surroundings in his caring way. That felt like our whole world expanded. Little did we know there were many people who had stopped, listening to this incredible Minister, his words so loving, sincere, and moving! We recommend Rev. Kurt highly!

He did a great a job making our ceremony special and memorable. You can tell he's very passionate about what he does. On day 1 he began planning and communicating with us about what we wanted, and offered to help write our vows as well. I got many compliments about him from the people that attended, it was a great experience overall. He was professional and personable. After the ceremony, he handled mailing out our marriage license to be processed, and told us to reach out with any questions. Highly recommend his service to everyone.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I will say the same words for 2 people as for 200 people. I don't have a package A, B, or C. My price is based on distance. I have no limit on emails or phone conversations. No extra fees for completing and mailing in the marriage license.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to talk casually with prospective new clients. I want them to feel relaxed and especially feel free to tell me everything they are looking for in a wedding officiant. I want them to feel as if they are telling their history, a history they want to be known by the intimacy they share through their sacred words during their wedding service.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Ph.D. in Holistic Theology from The American Institute of Holistic Theology. I love to officiate weddings. I'm also a registered expressive art therapist so all of this enables me to be a well-rounded and down to earth Minister. I see my role in a life meaning event as a sacred shared moment with the people involved. I have the love for creating a one of kind individualize service for such an event, be it a wedding, baptism, funeral, pet blessing, house blessing, and other life meaningful events.
