Joel and his crew were on time, very professional. They wrapped everything they moved really well. Arrived at the destination right on time and quickly unwrapped and placed the pieces where we asked. I would recommend this moving company

Joel with Jesus and Moses came for my moving. Before the move, Joel was very responsible through Thumbtack and texts. I called the same day in the morning and tried to get a crew asap. Joel said they would come at 2pm and they arrived at 2:05pm, which is close enough. I really appreciate how easy the communication was which brings peace of mind as I had several moves before and some movers have no communication leaving you to wonder where the crews are.
Their quote for a team of two is $105 per hour and Joel said he would come too and the rate stays the same which is a plus. Originally Joel quoted me for an estimate of 3.5h based on my inventory list. Halfway into it, he came to talk to me that the king and queen bed frames that I have were taking them a lot of time to disassemble and the overall price would be more than his estimate. This is understandable given that they are really solid beds. I appreciate him talking to me and letting me know once he realized it.
They are very cool guys, easy to get along and generally contributes to a happy atmosphere.
After the move, the price was as expected based on the hours and there was no surprise.
I enjoyed working with Joel and will call them again if I need to move again.

I hired Joel for the moving of my house. Joel came and explained me the contract first. He gave me a reasonable price and worked real quick . The contract included a 3 men crew but Joel brought one extra person. So all four worked to move my furniture. They were extremely careful with my stuff and they packed it real good using plastic , blankets and tape. They were very honest and they found one of my valuables on the floor and notified me right away. They didn't even touch it without bringing it to my attention . They were friendly and I asked him to do more than what was on my contract and they did it with a smile . I highly recommend these guys .

The Specialists were very helpful with my move! I moved from walk-up to walk-up on a very hot day. They completed the move quickly and efficiently, and took care that my items were moved safely. I definitely couldn't have done it myself! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to hire movers. Thank you so much to all of you!

The Specialists Moving Services, Inc. was fantastic from beginning to end. We asked for an in-person estimate for our move out of a 3-bedroom condo into a single family home. The agent, Joel, was professional and gave us a very fair price even though we were on a short time frame for the move. The four movers came on 12/28 (three days after Christmas in the snow in Chicago) on time and ready to go! Our movers were experts, friendly and gentle with our many belongings. They worked tirelessly through difficult winter moving conditions and never once complained. Our move was a very positive experience. We recommend this company highly. Ask for Jesus and Sergio!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
As a licensed and insured moving company, we charge by the hour based on our tariff rates filed with the Illinois Commerce Commission. There is not such thing as flat rate moving. We also only charge for the supplies used on a move.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, one of our experienced and certified moving coordinator's will take all of your information and prepare an estimate based on the factors of your move. Then we go through the process of fine tuning your move based on your needs. Finally, our professionally trained movers will complete your move with efficiency and precision.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Having more than 20 years of experience as a professional mover puts this owner and CEO on the top of the game in the moving industry in Chicago. Not only does he know what customer's want, but he also knows what they need.
