When I bought my house, the previous owner had already torn up the patio concrete, and I was looking for contractors on Thumbtack, not even knowing how to start the permit process. Finally, I found Mr. Omar on Thumbtack, and he came to my house for an estimate. He's a good guy, and he gave me an estimate for the patio concrete and a garbage bin concrete pad. He gave me a good deal and told me he'd handle the permits so I wouldn't have to worry about that. His work was clean and professional, and after the concrete, he brought soil, leveled the side area, and even applied grass seed. I highly recommend Mr. Omar for concrete work.

Omar and his crew at Midwest Hardscape were fantastic to work with. They took the sloppy DIY disaster the previous homeowner left behind and turned it into a backyard oasis. The transformation was night and day.
What really set Omar apart was his communication. He was prompt, responsive, thorough, and easy to work with the entire time. That alone put him ahead of literally every other contractor I’ve ever worked with.
I was initially a little hesitant about going with a smaller company for a project this size, but that hesitation disappeared quickly. Omar still had all the equipment, manpower, and know-how needed to tackle a major patio project the right way. The big difference was that I wasn’t paying for the overhead of a huge company, and that savings came through in the quote. I ended up getting the same expertise and end result I was hoping for, while some of the larger companies were quoting nearly double the price.
As you can see in my photos, the quality of the work speaks for itself, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Omar and Midwest Hardscape to anyone looking to upgrade their outdoor space.

I contracted Omar to pour a slab in a cabin renovation I have going on. Omar was willing to work with my limitations and came up with workable solutions. He and his crew were very professional and did an excellent job, and I had them come back to pour the bathroom floor as well. Great service, professional work. I’d hire them again!
