My fiancé and I have been working with Linda for the last several weeks. Being in a long distance relationship, my fiancé and I were happy to find someone who could counsel with us over the phone and accommodate our needs. When searching for a counselor, Linda was very quick in her response to me. We've been pleased with the material and assessments she uses, which helps us evaluate our relationship, building on strengths and working on weaknesses. Linda has a professional yet friendly demeanor and is always on time. My favorite part of our assortment is when we talk about things that have happened during the week. Linda gives us wisdom and practical ideas for coming up with solutions to work out our differences. This advice is so appropriate to our individual personalities and our relationship (and she never chooses sides) that we will continue to seek out her expertise when we hit any bumps in our marriage road as well.
From our initial phone conversation, we felt very comfortable being open with Rev. Porter. I enjoyed his laugh! He gave us some ideas that we'd never thought of and seems very willing to carry out what will be our dream ceremony, adding special touches. He suggested marriage counseling and really told us what the value is. We hadn't thought of doing this, but will after his recommendation. We look forward to meeting him and beginning this journey together.
I have had two meetings so far and do not think we will need many more for now. I still have many things to do on my own and probably will need a brush up in the future. I was having 1-2 counseling meetings before and all I did was talk and talk then time was up. When I arrived Mr. Cohen listened to me and replied back without judging me. He explained what hypnosis is and how we were going to use it to make changes. He let me receive a free assessment with a chiropractor and fitness coach. They have both helped me also with exercises that have also made me feel better. When I came in, I was hoping to do hypnosis with only one meeting but I was actually the one to ask for another meeting in a few days. I was asked to wait a week for our next meeting so the hypnosis and my exercises could start to take place. I feel much better because I understand better what was wrong. I even saw my old counselor once and she saw my change. She asked for Mr. Cohen's number too.
I highly recommend Dr. Wilson for therapy/ counseling services. She offers flexible and accommodating scheduling options, which was a huge relief for my very hectic schedule. Her approach is simply amazing. Dr. Wilson clearly explains the overall objective for each session, assigns homework that allows one to close the loop and reflect on topics discussed and is extremely accessible (phone, email and/ or text). She started each session with an assessment of your current mental and emotional state, which helps steer the conversation and identify the root cause of issues. In session, she holds you accountable for your actions, while also offering encouragement for difficult situations and acknowledge of positive behavior. As a result of Dr. Wilson services, I feel whole, with increased self awareness and confidence in my ability to make sound decisions and judgement. I recommend her time and time again.

In 2010 the tragic loss of our daughter left us barely able to breath, let alone function & process the grief and trauma. We struggled to find hope and healing for both ourselves & our 13 yr old son. After several years of working with different therapists to no avail, we met Dr. Davero. We found her expertise, empathy, respect & commitment far exceeded even the highest standards of patient care & treatment. Her ability to provide our family with the tools & understanding necessary to regain our footing in all aspects of our life is a testament to a doctor whose vast knowledge and expertise in many areas of mental health treatment is equal only to her compassion & devotion to those in her care.
Natalie made me feel comfortable from the beginning and was professional and friendly. She discussed a plan for moving forward and explained what to expect.
Tom Goforth is an amazing person! He was my husband's therapist for over 30 years and he also was our couples' therapist. The trust in and gratitude we have for Tom led my husband, Jeff, and I to ask him if he would be the officiant at our wedding in August of 2000. He graciously obliged. Years later, in 2008, our son, Ethan, was born. We named him Ethan "Thomas" after Tom Goforth. Tom has done so much for Jeff and for us as a couple. We are indebted. Thank you, Tom! We love you!

Have you felt disoriented or confused, like you are wandering through life without direction? Are your relationships feeling strained and overworked? Is life feeling overwhelming and taxing? There is freedom from these feelings and I believe I can help you find and take them. I work with clients to navigate the highs and lows of depression, anxiety, grief, and confusion. Life can often throw people out of alignment or off-kilter. Connecting with and re-aligning the different parts of one’s experience foster’s self-compassion and can help people make new and better decisions. My goal is not to make decisions for my clients, rather to empower them to make the challenging and life-giving decisions on their own, with confidence. But breaking old habits can be challenging. Sometimes it is easier to stay stuck doing the same old-thing-than to face the unknown, even if the unknown could be better. I want clients who are willing to embrace challenge and work for their healing and improvement. I want nothing more than to put myself out of a job if it means my clients are able to proceed confidently and proudly through their lives. I work with individuals who focus on identity challenges and development, spirituality, depression, anxiety, and LGBTQ concerns. I also help clients navigate the ways they interact in relation to others. It is impossible to change another person, but it is possible to decide how others can affect us. By learning to advocate for one’s needs and learning the ways those needs lead someone to react people can take ownership over their lives and their relationships. Once we learn to take care of ourselves we can help take care of others in our lives. I work with couples in all stages and from all walks of life. I work my clients to uncover the ways each partners’ histories contribute to the current relationship. Every person brings their own unique “stuff” into a relationship whether they realize it or not. Understanding the way one’s needs interact with their partner’s needs allows each member of a couple to ask for the things that will nourish the relationship most. If both members of a partner are able to care for their own needs they are better able to take care of their beloved.

I am gifted and experienced at developing initiatives and solutions that solve issues and provide structure for working out problems. Whether in relational conflict or community development, there is a need for engineering solutions that can facilitate reconciliation or train skills that build people into a good team. Faith, empowered by sound practice, allows for growth in any relationship, marriage, team or community.
I help families, couples and individuals to understand the underlying, root causes of their hardships, with the aim to strengthen healthy patterns, while minimizing unhealthy ones. On the way, I help people to learn to handle more effectively their struggles and the discomfiting realities that aggravate their lives - realities that stir up the feelings of depression, anxiety, turmoil and anger that first brought them to look for counseling. Sometimes, our lives have disturbing external realities that can be altered, but too often, external changes are impossible. When this is the case, then, I assist clients to learn ways to develop the inner strengths which will help them search for effective ways to live in and cope with constructive harmony with these realities. Every person who walks into my office is unique. Each views the world from the specific vantage point of the values, needs, style and beliefs that upbringing and nature have encouraged her or him to develop. In honoring such, I respectfully relate to each client's individuality, whether as a family, couple or individual. In working with families and couples, I aim to discover, constructively resolve and help understand the underlying issues which lie behind the negative patterns and resulting hurts which have created the unhappiness that prodded them to seek help through counseling.
Depthwork by way of focus on relationship between conscious and unconscious material which shapes sense of self,meaning-making, and creative meaning-making.
