Are experience was truly amazing! We have a 1 year old German Shepard mix that is high energy and within the first half hour Dee had her understanding commands like sit, bed, lie down and stay. She also showed us how to get her to stop jumping and nipping. Not only was the training great and effective but her recommendations for items to help walking and keeping her busy while we are not home were as well. We also really liked that she is very passionate at helping dogs and and their owners and that was very evident because she works with you during first appointment and then if you need any extra help you can text, call or email her! I would highly recommend this dog trainer!!
Scott did a great job with house training/off leash training with my dog, Penny, and later bird training.
Sherry is a fantastic dog trainer with expertise and a true love for animals. Her advise was invaluable!
I absolutely loved scotts approach and he gave me so much more information for my Frenchie that I hadn't heard from other dog trainers per sey. He was very pleasant and professional and if anyone needed help with thier dog I would highly recommend him!!!! Thanks Scott!!!!
Super friendly and my dog loves him!! Very patient and calm despite our anxious dog! Just 20 min and we've seen improvements!
We have been using Christy's Canine Care for about three years now and have had an excellent experience. She has a wonderful way with dog's. Our dog, Lexi, is quite skittish but Christy worked her magic and very quickly, she and Lexi where best friends. Our neighbor has a dog that no dog-sitter was able to get near enough to even get a leash on her. But in the first visit, Christy had the leash on her and was able to walk her. My neighbor caller her a "dog whisperer".
At first we decided to go with a different trainer. We spent $1250.00 just to get our dog back displaying the same behaviors as he left with along with some new odd habits. Our dog Jaws would bark in the crate for hours, when he was out he would fine any and everything to get into. We started looking for a trainer and we found one that was close to our home, and they seemed to have a great training facility. Well less than 24 hours after we brought Jaws home we noticed he was jumping up at the counter for food, he knocked over the trash can and was digging through it. Then we put him in his crate, and I'm not sure how he did it but he escaped and scratched a 17inch hole in the door located in the "crate room". We were not pleased that we spent so much money and our dog came home worse off than he started. That's when we heard about thumbtack from a friend. They said it has tons of services offered by trusted businesses where you can actually see the reviews made by other clients. So we began our search for a dog trainer. We received about 6 different quotes, the first time we went with a "kennel" type boarding place and we saw the result. So this time we wanted something more "homey" so Jaws wouldn't have such a hard time adjusting to his new environment. We decided to use YBFDH. For two weeks Jaws was there, we had contact everyday with the trainer and got photo and video updates as well. We went to visit with Jaws two times and that went well also. When we picked him up they reminded us we have 4 in home lessons free of charge should we need it. We took Jaws home and when he got there he went right to his crate to lay down, with the door open mind you. About 40 min later he came out got some water and whined by the back door. We let him out. To our surprise there was no clawing at the door to come back in, no loud barking, no trash digging, no jumping...all the things we asked to be worked on seemed to be handled. About a week after we brought Jaws home, the trainer gave us a call to see if we wanted to set up the in home lessons. We said we didn't think it was needed at this time, they informed us that the lessons never expire so if we change our mind to give them a call. This was a nice experience from start to finish, I only wish we had found them sooner. Jaws is a happy 2year old Doberman pincher. And we just love him so much!
I could not say enough good things about working with Stephanie when it came to training my dog. I have a rambunctious bulldog who's a year and a half. Nothing but behavioral problems, nipping, chewing things, eating things, and not coming when called. She was always on time, patient with my dog and myself, and made me feel comfortable with having her take care of my pup. I would HIGHLY recommend having her train your dog. I was thoroughly impressed to say the least!! I fully intend on utilizing this training in the future with future dogs as well.
Jim was the best! In 5 weeks (really just after the first lesson!) I had the confidence and tools to maintain my dog’s training. It made the world of difference walking my dog, Barney, each day when he would walk by my side and sit on command versus pulling the leashing and leading me. Barney loves our walks together, and I do too! He sits, stays and comes on command! I can't thank Jim enough for his patience and positive energy. His passion for dogs is obvious and I would recommend him to any/all families in need of training! Katie G.
Even though I didn't eventually need a walker, I was impressed with the prompt, polite, and accommodating responses from your employee. If I should need dog walking services in the future, I surely will contact you.

Belinda was absolutely amazing, she looked after out new dog pheobie while we were away over Christmas. I immediately felt comfortable leaving her in charge of our pet & home when we met & my confidence continued to grow. Belinda clearly loves dogs & pheobie obviously felt at ease with her very quickly as they were playing & gelling within minutes. Belinda sent daily updates with pictures to us which was sweet as we missed her & could see she was happy & ok. I would highly recommend Belinda & will definitely be using who let the dogs out again, in fact we already have her pencilled in for our next trip to Mexico. Thanks Belinda.
Jeanie Murray: Well, seven years ago Tom McMurchie worked with me and my 1-year old Labradoodle, Rush, in Phoenix AZ. I don't have adequate words to explain how wonderful the experience was. Tom was knowledgeable, professional, patient, humane, and just darn perfect. He trained me as well to make Rush an awesome, well-mannered family member. Then, Tom moved to Chicago. Rush is 8 years old (still perfect), but Tom has always been available for me to talk to him on the phone with dog-training advice. Then we brought a second Labradoodle into our home at 8 weeks old, Reagan. Do I ever wish Tom was still here to work with me and Reagan, who is a work in progress (almost 3 years old now). Actually, Tom did advise from afar when I had questions about Reagan. If you are looking for that perfect person to work with you and your dog, don't look any further than Tom McMurchie. Thanks, Tom!
Working with Chris has been an absolute joy. If you are looking for a trainer for your dog, you will not believe how big a help Chris will be for you and your dog. For example: I was walking Kona down the sidewalk when someone with her dog asked if I used a trainer because Kona was the best behaved dog she had ever seen. She was so impressed, she reached out to Chris for her own dog! We could tell within minutes of talking with Chris that he truly cares about the dogs he works with and about us as the parents. His passion for dogs is clearly evident and his knowledge and ability to help matches his love of dogs. When we first were looking for a trainer, part of it was due to wanting to make sure we were teaching her correctly, and part was due to a resource guarding. After we had our first session with Chris, the resource guarding issue was taken care of in about 5 minutes! He also helped us significantly in how she plays with other dogs, she walks next to me, does tricks on command, and he helped with how she behaves around the house. Strongly recommend using Chris!
Here is a little history, we adopted a tree walker coonhound from a shelter in Tennessee and brought him home to Wisconsin. The first month was ok as we all got adjusted to each other. There were counter surfing, mouthing and dominance issues from the beginning. We knew we had a stubborn ALPHA, ALPHA male but we were working through it. The dog and I had an altercation over a rawhide where he became very aggressive and tried to bite me. From that day forward he would try to attack me unsolicited any time he saw me or heard my voice. It got so bad I would have to lock myself in a room so my wife could let him out. I am 6',1" tall and 220 lbs, this is the first time in my life with all the dogs I've owned that I was afraid of a dog. We talked to many behaviorist's whom all said we should just rehome the dog and had no answers for us. I was determined not to give up and make things work because I knew that this was a good dog deep down inside. That is when I was recommend to Shelly at "Hair of the dog that bit ya". I got a great feeling from her right away on the phone and was intrigued by her explanation of how she handles her training of dogs (it was a much different approach from what I was hearing from everyone else). This is a large breed hunting dog who is aggressive and she knew exactly how to handle it. She came out the very next morning to a situation where everyone in the house was uneasy and afraid of this dog who now was in total control of the situation. Long story short after two hours Shelly had broken the dog had him taking commands from both my wife and myself. We felt like we had our lives back and believe it or not the dog seemed happier that he now knew the pecking order. This was truly a Christmas miracle for my entire family. The picture attached is from the same day where that morning my dog wanted to kill me and what he was like by the afternoon! I cannot thank Shelly enough and I am so excited for our new life together with Bohannon. Todd & Shelly Bloom
