I absolutely loved scotts approach and he gave me so much more information for my Frenchie that I hadn't heard from other dog trainers per sey. He was very pleasant and professional and if anyone needed help with thier dog I would highly recommend him!!!! Thanks Scott!!!!
Sherry is a wonderful dog trainer. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with her. Unfortunately due to some family issues we were forced to get rid of the dog. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.
My 16 week old Great Dane puppy needed to learn some manners before she got too big. I did a board and train and it was the best decision I could've made. My Personal Dog Trainer exceeded my expectations. I can have people come in and out of the house without any jumping...never mind the ease of walking her now without her pulling my arm. She sits in her place when told and she can be off leash and comes when called. I wish there was a 10 star review because that's what My Personal Dog Trainer really deserves!!
Belinda was absolutely amazing, she looked after out new dog pheobie while we were away over Christmas. I immediately felt comfortable leaving her in charge of our pet & home when we met & my confidence continued to grow. Belinda clearly loves dogs & pheobie obviously felt at ease with her very quickly as they were playing & gelling within minutes. Belinda sent daily updates with pictures to us which was sweet as we missed her & could see she was happy & ok. I would highly recommend Belinda & will definitely be using who let the dogs out again, in fact we already have her pencilled in for our next trip to Mexico. Thanks Belinda.
I was looking for a high-quality dog trainer for my new puppy and am so happy I found Claudia. The one-on-one sessions allow us to cover a lot of ground and move at our own pace. She is very patient with me as I learn all about my dog and her behaviors. She really gives you insight into dog psychology and behavior and I finally feel like my puppy and I are speaking the same language! After the first session, my puppy was already more responsive at home and a much better walker. Looking forward to learning more with Claudia.
When I first met Chris I had just gotten a three month old Border Collie named Max. A few weeks after having Max he started showing off some bad behaviors, so I went in search for a dog trainer and I came across Chris on Thumbtack. He was amazingly helpful and incredibly knowledgeable—which was quite impressive. Sadly, Max started to become aggressive with my eight year old son and I was too nervous to keep him any longer. I, of course, didn’t want my son to get hurt but I didn’t want Max to be punished for something that he couldn’t fully control yet. Time wasn’t on our side with Max. Chris made me feel better about my choice and how it was the right one for not only my family but for Max as well. A month later we got an eight week old schnoodle that fit more into our lives. Cotton is very well mannered and trained because of the tools and knowledge Chris gave us. He works hard to give you the tools you need to have a happy home for you and your pupper. He is also super amazing at working around work schedules and things alike. Chris comes to your home—which is amazingly helpful since that is your dog’s environment. He shows you how to do things and after that it’s up to you to practice, practice, practice. You have to put in the work and use the tools Chris gives you and it is SO worth it—and he is always more than willing to answer any questions or issues you might be having—to which he always have good answers for you. I would suggest him time and time again, hands down!
I volunteered to assist the Navy in training recruits at RTC Great Lakes, while stationed here I wanted to find something to do with my time while I was here. I decided that I wanted to get dog and train the dog to be a therapy dog. I thought it was an outstanding way to provide love & affection for people that truly need it. I hand selected a female Golden Doodle, that I named Bella. I now needed to find a dog trainer to help me train Bella, after searching around for a few days, I was referred to Leslie Wooldridge, after meeting with Leslie and discussing the reason why I wanted to her to train Bella, she was very direct and up front about how it is going to be acommitment, and that it is a lot of work. I respected her honesty because I could see that she took pride in her work. I have been training with Leslie for almost a year now, and I am extremely happy that I chose her. The relationship between Leslie & Bella has been amazing, and the results of the training have aloud Bella to ace both the AKC "Canine Good Citizen" (CGC), and Therapy Dog International (TDI) certifications. I would highly recommend Leslie Wooldridge to anyone willing make the commitment to take the time necessary to get superior results.
Leslie is an excellent dog trainer, patient, diligent, organized...a true professional who we would recommend to any dog owner looking for a trainer. Paul & Molly
Lynn is an amazing dog trainer and she has changed our lives in only a few sessions:)
Dee is amazing she is best dog trainer! My dog love her!
Jim was the best! In 5 weeks (really just after the first lesson!) I had the confidence and tools to maintain my dog’s training. It made the world of difference walking my dog, Barney, each day when he would walk by my side and sit on command versus pulling the leashing and leading me. Barney loves our walks together, and I do too! He sits, stays and comes on command! I can't thank Jim enough for his patience and positive energy. His passion for dogs is obvious and I would recommend him to any/all families in need of training! Katie G.
I was really nervous when I set out to find a dog trainer for my German Shepherd, but all that was put to ease when Nicole came by for a meet and greet with my dog. She explained to me all of her training methods and answered any questions I had. She was very easy to talk to about any problems I had concerning my dog. And after three weeks of her board and train program, I am wowed! Her results are outstanding. My dog now gives me her full attention, is much more calm, and no longer pulls while walking. I kniw these
Jeanie Murray: Well, seven years ago Tom McMurchie worked with me and my 1-year old Labradoodle, Rush, in Phoenix AZ. I don't have adequate words to explain how wonderful the experience was. Tom was knowledgeable, professional, patient, humane, and just darn perfect. He trained me as well to make Rush an awesome, well-mannered family member. Then, Tom moved to Chicago. Rush is 8 years old (still perfect), but Tom has always been available for me to talk to him on the phone with dog-training advice. Then we brought a second Labradoodle into our home at 8 weeks old, Reagan. Do I ever wish Tom was still here to work with me and Reagan, who is a work in progress (almost 3 years old now). Actually, Tom did advise from afar when I had questions about Reagan. If you are looking for that perfect person to work with you and your dog, don't look any further than Tom McMurchie. Thanks, Tom!
My 3 dogs look and smell great after getting groomed here. One of my dogs is part Schnauzer and we always get him a schnauzer cut, which isn't easy to do, I've been told. She did outstanding. I also have a yorkie who was dealing with an injury and she was able to work with him. After a bad experience at PetCo and having visited multiple dog grooming facilities, I am beyond pleased and satisfied with my experience at Deja Vu's K-9 Corner. I will be going back to get my dogs groomed here.
I can't say enough great stuff about not only how Kelly is outstanding as a dog trainer but how patient she is training the owner as well. If you want the best for you dog, this is the trainer for you!
Even though I didn't eventually need a walker, I was impressed with the prompt, polite, and accommodating responses from your employee. If I should need dog walking services in the future, I surely will contact you.
I’m looking forward to working with Sev’s Smarty Paws. Tracy was helpful and professional from her first contact with me. Our consultation showed me she is exactly what we are looking for in a trainer for our dogs.
Chris and Diane are excellent dog trainers. They are truly committed to helping an owner reach their dog training goals. I highly recommend using them for dog training services!
Entrusting Mr. Barkypants, my first-born son, to a dog walker is akin to how I imagine it might feel to someday entrust a less furry child of mine to a nanny: He/She sure as hell better be committed, conscientious, able to survive blizzards*, and love Mr. Barkypants as his/her own. Using this (perhaps slightly unreasonable) standard, I interviewed many, many dog walkers before I found Walks With Zara Chicago Dog Wlalkers, a dog walking company that Russell and his business partner own and operate. Though I haven't yet had to put them to the blizzard test*, it is clear that Russell is an excellent dog walker and human being. I feel strongly about not having just any random person walk Mr. Barkypants: I've witnessed how some walkers who work at larger operations treat (or rather mistreat) the 5-10 dogs they walk at once. Sadly, it doesn't seem uncommon for some dog walkers, on the north-side at least, to roughly yank leashes or yell and scream at dogs, or to refuse to stop walking to allow one of their charges to use the little dog's room, or to tie dogs up to a post in the park while the walker enjoys a cigarette and long chat with his friends. I am confident that Russell does NOT do this; Mr. Barkypants would probably behave very differently with him than he does. Interestingly, though Mr. Barkypants isn't terribly fond of strangers and he is particularly non-fond of strangers who are male and who wear hats, he took to the hat-wearing Russell like he took to liver treats from the first or second walk on. Russell has a gentle, quiet, calm, non-domineering manner with dogs (and humans, really). He isn't embarrassed about speaking to dogs in goofy voices -- a talent I quite appreciate. Moreover, wrt his human dealings, too, Russell is prompt and as honest as Abe: He lets us know when he isn't able to walk a full hour (because of severe weather or sickness) and deducts from his pay despite our asking him to take the full amount. Rates, by the way, are extremely reasonable for Chicago dog walking, especially since Mr. Barkypants gets Russell all to himself on walks. According to their website, Russell is bonded and insured as a dog walker and is a member of the Association of pet sitters. I can speak with knowledge about Russell's excellent credentials as a dog walker. He *will* treat your dogs with respect and patience -- or at least I'm pretty sure they will based on how they've treated my first born son. I can't recommend him enough.
My prices are negotiable and I'm able to customize my route to make the dog feel comfortable
I love working with dogs! Able to care for rowdy or shy hounds. Walking and watching - keeping the dogs safe!
