Pat brings an incredible design sensitivity to the business of landscaping, dedicated with equal measure to the considerations of HOW the space needs to be used... what the most successful CHOICES will be for the setting and exposure... and the VIEW to be enjoyed over the years to come. It's more than three years later and we continue to love our yard. Pat Bernard Design comes highly recommended.

Pat listened, had a vision, created a plan, worked hard and completely transformed my yard. My lot is now a mini "Botanic Garden" and a focal point of the neighborhood. I love it, couldn't have done it alone and highly recommend Pat Bernard!

Pat Benard answered my email quickly. She came out to my house within days of messaging. We are still in the process of completing the job. All I can say for now is she has met my expectations.

Pat did a great job working with me to understand my goals and show me options I wouldn't have thought of on my own. She ultimately presented me with 2 plans - biggest challenge being to pick one since I loved them both. The job estimate was more than I had initially planned for but I decided to move forward based on the quality of the design options. Finished project included a brick paver patio and all new sidewalks in my 30 x 45 Chicago backyard, new exterior stairs and landing, a recycled concrete seating bench (using the old sidewalks) and new plantings including dwarf trees and native grasses and flowers. My neighbors have been highly complimentary of the new design (previously I had no hardscaping and untamed perennial beds) and I find the new space is much more relaxing and welcoming.
