Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I have 6 years of experience tutoring students in math and problem solving through a tutoring institution and Northwestern's School of Education, and have helped students prepare for standardized tests for the past 4 years. I provide one-on-one tutoring in several areas, such as preparing students for standardized tests such as the ACT, SAT, PSAT, and SAT II Subject Tests. In addition, I help students improve their computer literacy by teaching basic computer (PC/Mac) skills, Microsoft Office, and introductory programming concepts. Finally, I also provide tutoring in several topics in math that include Prealgebra through AP Calculus AB/BC and AP Statistics. I believe one-on-one tutoring is a great way to help students achieve success, whether it be to catch up in school, prepare for a test, or earn an A in a class. I enjoy the opportunity to foster that success and build students’ confidence in their academics. My rates are affordable and I'm always willing to accommodate the student and their parents.

ACT Tutoring

My daughter had one lesson so far. But we were able to meet him before the lesson to make sure that they would be able to work well together. He was extremely professional, and he was able to modify the lessons for appropriate tutoring.

Souradip is a tutor, par excellence! We're grateful to Thumbtack for bringing him into our lives. He's responsive to our children's needs. He's great at explaining and uses various techniques to make sure that they understand the material. Souradip's infinitely patient and never makes them feel less than or embarrassed to ask questions. The children look forward to working with him (now that's a litmus test for a tutor who's doing something right!). They would rather work with him than see a movie! We sought tutoring because our children were struggling and in a matter of a couple of months they're "A" students. That's a testimonial to the caliber of tutor that he is!

Souradip Ghosh is an excellent tutor. He teaches the things that need to be learned. His methodical approach make lessons very productive and helpful. Furthermore, he tailors his sessions to the needs of his pupil, building of his or her strengths, and tackling their weaknesses. Working with Souradip has been a pleasure, and the time that I've put in with him has been very beneficial.

While working with Souradip, I have learned material for geometry that I would need in Honors Geometry next year. It is great that I got a head start from such a exceptional tutor! He explains difficult parts in math in easy ways to understand, which helped me a lot!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I charge an hourly rate for tutoring (varies with the subjects/topics that a student or client is interested in). Currently offering discounted rates! I'm always willing to discuss specifics upon contact.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I offer initial consultations to meet potential students and/or parents, discuss rates and availability, and schedule the first tutoring session. Often times, I will also administer a short diagnostic test in the subject that the student needs help in. Many clients have mentioned this "meet-and-greet" to be effective in easing a student into tutoring sessions and starting off with the exact material a student needs assistance in.
