- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I experienced so many physical and lifestyle benefits from yoga that I feel naturally compelled to share it with as many people as possible. Everyone has their personal style, favorite exercise regimen, and diet, but I truly believe that there has to be a place for yoga in everyone's routine in order to have a healthy body and mind that will stay healthy well into advanced age.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I taught a Yin yoga class that consisted of students every possible skill level. I had students who had never practiced any type of yoga, ones who had never tried Yin, ones who were incredibly flexible, and a 70 year old who was very stiff. I was able to cater to them all and make sure all their needs were met.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It's important to be clear about your expectations and make sure that your yoga teacher has heard them and agrees they can meet them. Yoga has so many different facets and styles so it is good to be on the same page. A phone or in-person meeting is always helpful to make sure the teacher and student are a good fit.
