- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My painting adventure begun back in 2000 when I started working with big Union company. I became apprentice of Chicago Area Painting And Decorating J.A.T.C in Berkley, IL . After 1st week I knew it instantly that I will be doing this in my life. After 3 years of school I graduated and became a foreman I ran the large painting projects residential and commercial for the companies which I worked and costumers such as Tall Brothers, Ryland Homes, Pulte Homes and Montalbano Homes. In 2008 when real estate and construction market crashed me and my entire team got laid off. At that time my wife was pregnant with our 1st child and I didn’t have any work and I didn’t see any jobs on the horizon. Than I came up with the idea to open my own business Dr.Paint . At the beginning it was really hard by time I had more of Costumers who trusted me, my crew and my services and proudly we continue to serve our Costumers until today.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
A costumer should ask the contractor if is fully insured, what kind of products will be using on the project , how long is going to take the project , how many workers will be on the project and also should ask about the proposal with all details .
