Modest did a great job with the hardwood flooring project I hired him for. I am very happy about the quality.

Where things went south is when I asked him to fill out W-9 form after the work was done. I explained why I need it and provided the IRS links that explain the purpose, so far no luck.

Just heads up out there for others that may face the same issue.

Update 4/22/26: after a bit back and forth, Modest did provide the completed W-9 form. I am resetting my review back to 5 start as the quality of work and communication level fully back it up.

Modest and team did an amazing job removing carpet and repairing/staining original flooring in some rooms and installing brand new flooring in others. Loved the attention to detail to even have the existing floor vents match the new floors.

We purchased a building and immediately began seeking ballpark quote to rip out the carpet and refinish the hardwood flooring underneath. Modest was super responsive and provided an anticipated price range, which turned out to be pretty accurate. His team was on time each day, provided updates on progress, showed us spots that required repairs as they found them, and gave us pricing for the repairs before starting them. With the cost of buying the building, we only afford to refinish a few of the rooms, and they turned out beautiful. We plan to call Modest when we are able to complete the rest of our unit!

Wood Flooring - Large or small - this company has the skill set.
The owner is very capable at providing a range of options and rational prices associated with the work and level of effort.

This project needed a real flooring person meaning someone who could assess, problem solve and produce the best possible result. I am happy about two things specifically. First their execution was excellent and of course that is the result so most important. The actual installation people were knowledgeable and interested in producing a great outcome - and they did. Second, it was not easy to find a firm who was willing to take on this kind of project - this was installing flooring and also blending with existing. Well done!!
