FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I work with couples by using cognitive behavior therapy approaches to improve the marriage. This means we will not focus on the past unless it is necessary for one or both of the partners to explore. More attention is given on the present, identifying the negative patterns, and gaining insight into the problems. When we work on the areas that are distressing we are able to create a stronger emotional bond and reduce conflict. This evidenced based approach has shown to be one of the highest improvement rates and couples maintain the gains after therapy has ended.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied Psychology at Argosy University, where I focused on substance abuse, and at Benedictine University, where I obtained a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have worked with many different kinds of populations but I most enjoy helping couples reach their goal and reconnecting. Happy couples have the greatest impact on their children, am not only assisting two people but a family as well.
