About

I have been receiving voice lessons from David Eickstaedt for the past three years and made a lot of progress with my singing voice. At the beginning of a lesson, when he introduces a new idea, it seems as if it will never help me. But thirty minutes later when I'm applying it to a song, I always find that it does work. After all, he is the teacher and he really knows what he's doing.

About

I recently finished my master of music degree in jazz studies at the University of North Texas, one of the most prestigious jazz programs in the world. I also hold a B.M. in vocal performance (with a minor in Piano) from Illinois Wesleyan University. I'm currently available for gigs, clinics, session work, and private lessons instruction. I teach voice lessons (with an emphasis on good, healthy technique) in all styles, piano lessons, improvisation, jazz fundamentals, and theory. I've been gigging and teaching professionally for six years, both in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and, more recently, in Chicago. Lesson prices vary depending on the circumstances of each student or family, but will not exceed $60/hour. I teach out of my home studio in Bucktown, and lessons are available by appointment. Please feel free to call me with any questions!

My daughter absolutely loves having Danielle as her singing teacher! She counts down the days each week until her next lesson. I also love that Danielle uses my daughter's song choices in her instruction, which motivates her even more. We feel so lucky that we found Danielle!!

About

Enhance your voice with Rak Vocal Care I teach adult singers to develop and enhance your voice, so you can sing and perform and record as you most want to. Preventive care is shared because everything you eat, drink, feel, think, do and experience affects how you let your voice come through you. I also work with adult singers who have voice problems or vocal damage (hoarseness, erratic voice changes, discomfort, lack of endurance or reliability, bowed vocal cords, polyps, nodules/nodes, vocal fold swellings, issues with allergies, asthma, sinus, post-nasal drip, excess phlegm/congestion, esophageal reflux, nasal sound production, etc.) to heal and resolve your voice issues and help you be able to sing with confidence and reliability. I work with singers, from beginners through advanced performers of any level of experience and in all types and styles of music. You may see my website for detailed testimonials from all types of singers. The sessions may also be shared on Skype. The sessions are recorded for you with vocal limbering and warm-up routines, vocal cooling-down routines and vocal healing routines that you can use for the rest of your singing and vocal life. I am a vocal therapist, voice teacher, vocal performance coach and alternative healing consultant. My book on Rak Vocal Care is being published by Balboa Press (of Hay House) within a year, and my book "Becoming Energy: Affirmations For All Creative Beings" is available on Kindle at Amazon. I sing three songs on YouTube, which illuminate my ability to sing what I teach. My blog on WordPress "RakVocal Sings!" and my RakVocal page on Facebook shares helpful advice/info for singers and bands; you can begin learning and helping your voice and singing right away. My RakVocal website has free info that you can download. Singers are vocal athletes! Come and enhance your voice and share yourself with your world!

Typically, we teach guitar, piano or keys, vocals, bass and drums. In addition, we have elective courses that would include but are not limited to: * band building and consulting * sound engineer training * how to use a mixer and microphone * how to use effects processors * simple connection tips and new age recording mediums, both digital and analog We also have the do's and dont's for your instrument and stage etiquette, or do's and dont's on stage. Our main focus is on having fun, so we incorporate musical games, funny skits, special guests, etc. We offer a variety of smiles, for a variety of smiles is our motto, so to speak. We utilize the "creative education through music and motivation" strategy which really means, again, if you're having fun, you're more likely to stick with it and be successful. About

"A vocal coach is a music teacher who instructs singers on how to improve their singing technique, take care of and develop their voice, and prepare for the performance of a song or other work. "Vocal coaches may give private music lessons to singers, or they may coach singers who are rehearsing on stage or who are singing during a recording session. Vocal coaches are used in both classical music and in popular music styles, such as rock and gospel. "While some vocal coaches provide a range of instruction on singing techniques, others specialize in areas such as breathing techniques or diction and pronunciation." - Wikipedia
