FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $65 per face of makeup, but for brides I highly recommend a trail run, which I only charge $15 for. Special effects makeup pricing varies.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to school for esthetics, which gives me a license to do waxing, facials, and makeup! In our training we went in depth to understand the skin, it's disorders, and how it works. We also learned how to use makeup for different face types/shapes, and practiced with special effects makeup.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
This is my dream job! Growing up I struggled with acne, so I learned as much as I could about makeup and skin care to make my skin look great, and through that I learned quite a bit. I have always been artistic in addition to this, so making makeup look good came naturally to me. When I would have friends come over I would do their makeup, and as young as 14 I had people asking me to do their makeup for dances. Makeup artistry came naturally to me, and it's what I'm passionate about!
