- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For most jobs, I charge by the hour ($20). However, this may adjust depending on the job. We will discuss any rate questions before the job starts. I have a one-hour minimum charge per job. I do charge a $20 travel fee if I have to go too far outside of my regular work area, but I will discuss this with you in advance if it is going to be necessary.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to respond quickly so we can discuss what you have in mind for your project, and so that I can ask any pertinent questions. It's my aim to ensure all details are addressed before the job starts up to ensure that we're all on the same page and everyone is happy with the final product.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While I do have a Master's Degree, most of the work I do here on Thumbtack is based on many years of working around my home and for family and friends. I have been doing furniture assembly, TV mounting, and basic handyman work for decades and I'm eager to help you with your project.
