Introduction: About my profile, I am a self-motivated, energetic individual with diverse technical and operational expertise.
I have extensive experience as an automotive warranty inspector and a licensed home inspector doing commercial and residential real estate inspections.
I also have hands-on mechanical experience as a journeyman technician, 10 years as an effective hands-on manager of union and nonunion shops.
The following are my experience:
From 1997 to present, I have been a self-employed automotive warranty inspector (Centro, CarCannon and Dekra). I am ASE certified.
I have contracts. I receive work by phone, text or e-mail; print out claim information; go to the facility; check if the vehicle was diagnosed correctly or was damaged; take pictures of vehicles, all related failures and documents; call reports in to the warranty company; go back to the office; input online reports; and transfer digital pictures to reports.
I am also a licensed home inspector in the state of Illinois. I performed home inspections.
I offer commercial and residential real estate inspections (midwest technical inspections and express inspections).
For my contracts, I received work orders and went into the field to did several types of inspections including, but not limited to, high-, mid- and low-value HUD, apartment and neighborhood complexes, commercial buildings, documents, interior-exterior foundation types and percents, pictures and square footage diagram and calculations.
I handled commercial safety inspections including fire, structure and legal documentation of business and certificates.
From 1987 to 1997, in The Hertz Corporation, I was the city maintenance manager for Port Newark, Manhattan, Kennedy and Newark airports and Washington, D.C.
I administrated and oversaw preventive maintenance program on fleet vehicles and 15 RTS buses including TSB's and Recalls.
I recruited, trained, supervised and disciplined staff of union employees.
I worked on the code and monitored mechanics productivity, warranty writing and collection.
I attended Ford's schooling to teach mechanics of new line products and technical info.
I inspected and oversaw turnback, retail and wholesale processes.
I maintained facility equipment, including car washes. I inspected body of damaged vehicles and buses being sent and returned from the body shop.
I ordered parts and supplies for fleet cars, buses, and facility and office utilizing.
I serviced computerized purchase order systems. I had direct interaction with Ford Motor Company engineers in identifying and correcting product failure and design defects.
I ensured that all personnel of the facility are aware of all current recall and safety issues.
I negotiated with vendors to establish new cost-effective accounts and coordinate proposals for construction projects.
I was an active member of corporate safety committee. I participate in union labor agreement negotiations.
From 1979 to 1987, I worked for K-Mart Auto Centers in Staten Island, NY and various NJ locations/
I was a bonus-based journeyman technician. I handled major auto, truck and facility repairs.
