Roof Repair or Maintenance

I hired this company to fix my roof leak. I requested James to go into the crawl space above my garage to see where the leak was starting at. James went onto the roof and told me he knew exactly where the leak was and he would take care of it. This was in the late summer early fall of 2015. The week of Christmas 2015, I discovered the same leak only worse. I have called James, emailed James as well as texting James to please return to my dwelling to assess the issue. I have yet to receive any of my multiple responses. I guess this company does NOT stand behind their work. It is a shame, James and company is taking advantage of a single woman who is also a senior citizen. Be WARE!

James did excellent work on the 5-6 properties we owned in various Chicago suburbs until late September / early October. He was on time, frank with his costs, and documented the work well. Unfortunately after late October / early November, James disappeared. He no longer answered emails (our primary method of communication) nor did he take any calls. The reason for communication was to complete work that had been paid for but had not been completed by James. In and of itself no longer communicating with a customer whom James billed in excess of $30,000 would not be all that bad; however, James did take payment for work he had not completed -- which is not just unprofessional, but is theft.

A part of vinyl siding on my house blew off during a storm that needed to be fixed. The original piece of siding blew away but James was able to match the missing piece perfectly. He is easy to reach, gives you an exact quote of cost, explains everything well and has a lot of experience.

Things couldn't have gone better. James was quick, professional, and did a great job. I would definitely recommend him.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have been interested in how infrastructure works since I was 5 years old. I have been building forts since about the same age. I have been fascinated by the industry my whole life and I enjoy it so much I don't think I will ever do anything else.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Kitchens, Bathrooms, Decks, and General Property Maintenance

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

The things that are done below the surface are as important, and sometimes more important, than the appearance of a finished product. Siding is a great example of that. The underlayment is the weather barrier, not the siding. You can have the most beautiful siding job done, only to find out later that it is leaking into the home and causing mold.
