Antonio came on time. He was very courteous, polite , professional and gave a fair estimate for all the work that need to be completed. He came on time with his friend and completely did an outstanding work. He trimmed all the bushes, trees, blow the leaves on my roof, and cleaned up the garden area. He surpassed our expectations. Over the past two years Brent has installed a paver patio, a raised garden and renovated our landscape. The work is consistantly excellent and is completed ontime in a convenient manner. Brent is a perfectionist. I love the fact that Brent is always on time and delivers what he promises. I liked the results so much that I asked for a supply of business cards to give to neighbors and friends!

Warren and Downin Enterprises has been a godsend! He's an expert with older homes (mine is over 100 yrs old) and has done everything from numerous home repair projects to new design and repurposing of an old space, a stairway landing into a fully plumbed half bath. He's also done tilework, repair plaster on lath walls, installed ceiling lights and fans and added electrical outlets. In addition to inside work, he's designed and constructed a flagstone patio and perimeter gardens. He has a great natural eye for good design--you would never know that the half bath was once a landing. Plus he's reliable, efficient, smart and top quality--what more could you ask for? He's every woman's handyman dream!

Ryan had great ideas and did an amazing job transforming the landscape in my yard! He was quick and courteous and his prices were very fair. I would definitely recommend him!

I'm a full-time high school student at Lafayette Jefferson. I am an honor student, and my mom has two jobs. I need help paying for volleyball, basketball, track, and show choir. I'm skilled when it comes to gardening and yard work. I'll help you if you help me.

I work full-time at school. Therefore, most of my business will be afternoons and Saturdays. Sundays are devoted to family, church, and visitation. I farm part-time with my dad, son, and grandchildren. We are organic farmers and gardeners and have worked home repair all our lives. My son and dad are excellent carpenters too. If we can help you, our prices will be on a per-project basis. We also raise organic apples and enjoy all aspects of raising fruit, pruning fruit trees, and helping the small family gardeners get started and maintain their food sources.

We do landscaping, lawn care, snow removal, hardwood floor installations, mulch installations, flowers planting and mowing services.

I use eco-friendly cleaning and laundry products proven to work while protecting the environment against pollutants. I avoid the use of chlorine bleach or ammonia. My methods of plant and garden care avoid chemicals, as well. They are completely organic with excellent results. I specialize in container plantings and border gardening. I love animals and have extensive experience as a pet nanny for many types of domestic animals, as well as livestock.

Hi, my name is Brandy, and I have been in landscaping for over 10 years. I have a background in botany, and I have successfully completed the master gardener program. My artistic nature and knowledge of plants makes me have a great eye for landscape design.

Speruv Coustomer service and satisfaction. Voted #1!

I have always had a green thumb and a year ago I decided why not share my ambition, knowledge and talent to help folks have the beautiful flower beds and landscape they always dreamed to have. I also help to maintain their flower beds so they don't have to. Alot folks have in the past had taken care of their flower beds and landscaping but with busy life schedules, health issues or just can't do it anymore is where Strawtown Garden Gals comes in. I love the look on my customer's face when they see the impossible come true again.

I work on any job and all jobs that need attention. I personally take appreciation and pride in a timely professional matter that meets customers' expectations.

I am a national award-winning designer specializing in perennial gardens, mixed borders, theme gardens, rain gardens, and container design.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to have landscaping done?

Professional landscaping can help reinvent your outdoor space, boost your curb appeal and get a major return on investment with. Landscaping can encompass anything from adding new plants, trees and shrubs, to leveling the ground and laying sod for a lawn, to building in hardscaping such as sidewalks, water features or retaining walls. The national average landscaping price is $10,160. Landscaping prices can be far lower (with hourly rates ranging from $50 to $150) if you’re only seeking professional help with softscaping or seeking consultation on landscape design. Softscaping means adding or changing horticultural elements, such as planting a garden or adding a hedge. Hardscaping is where costs can really start to rise. Hardscaping requires labor and heavy equipment to excavate the earth; you may need to pour concrete, or you may need a pro who can transport and place gravel and other inorganic elements. Your total landscaping cost will vary based on the amount of work you want done, how much labor is required, and the cost of the materials you are using. A good rule of thumb for a major landscaping project, according to the American Society of Landscape Architects, is to budget 5 percent to 10 percent of the value of your home.

How much does it cost to landscape your front yard?

Prices for landscaping your front yard can range from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands of dollars, depending on the scale of your front yard project. Your landscaping price will reflect how much change you implement, how much labor is required, and the cost of materials.

Landscaping is typically made up of softscaping and hardscaping. Softscaping refers to selecting trees, bushes, flowers and plants to achieve a desired aesthetic and to meet goals such as having a drought-tolerant yard. Hardscaping refers to moving earth, installing structures, and putting in decorative stonework, sidewalks or lighting. For softscaping, you may want to hire a landscape designer to consult on your plants and layout, and then do the digging and planting yourself or hire a gardner to handle the heavy lifting. A landscape designer’s hourly rate may range from $50 to $150 or more. If you want a turnkey approach, meaning someone who works with you to create the vision and then executes all the work, landscaping pricing will typically come down to a cost per square foot rather than an hourly rate. It’s a solid investment: Great landscaping can add up to 28 percent value to your home.
