After I overestimated my handywoman skills, Jeff came to the rescue. He replaced the PVC pipe I broke and put in new valves and pipes to replace the old, crusty ones that were leaking. My real concern, however, was that the drain pipe wasn't draining in the kitchen sink. He did everything he could to diagnose the problem, including renting and bringing in a machine to break up the obstruction. Unfortunately, the blockage was ice, and the only way to fix that is to wait. To expedite the process, Jeff suggested that my husband and I put a space heater near the pipe, just to keep it a little warmer than it would've been otherwise. About 48 hours later, Jeff's suggestion worked, and now our drain is doing what it's supposed to do.
Jeff's prices are fair, so we didn't feel like we were overpaying or underpaying. He was friendly, tidy, and communicative throughout the project. We would trust him to handle any future plumbing projects, and perhaps we'll have him back to do some painting and other handyman-type stuff too. He takes pride in his work so you can take pride in your home.
