I have been calling movers a week or so prior to my move date. I got in touch with Rogers Moving Services two days before my move.I was a nervous wreck already about my move.Thank god I called Rogers.They gave me the BEST quote from everyone I contacted. They responded to my email immediately with a quote and called to clarify my questions and book the move. I spoke with Alex who was just AMAZING. He was super friendly, explained everything in detail and asked if I had any questions then I can call them anytime. My move went great. They came on time and called me to keep me posted that they are on the way and will reach shortly. They did an awesome job. Very efficient, friendly,punctual and quick movers.I gave them an accurate list of my furniture,boxes, and all the items so I can get an accurate time range. I am glad I did because they finished my move as they had quoted me. I would recommend them and definitely started talking about them to my family and friends who are moving because I was super happy with my move. Best decision ever!

These guys were great. First off, they were super accommodating when I had to change the move time the very day of the scheduled move. Two guys moved our apartment in 2 hours, including disassembling and reassembling our bed. They helped us figure out the best way to configure our living room which was a little nutty I must admit. And, this is a big one, they managed to get our big couch out of the old apartment and into the new apartment without any damage to the couch or the building, which the previous movers couldn't pull off (and there were 3 of them). Friendly, communicative, helpful, accommodating. I totally recommend these guys. I think, though, that they should get a dolly just to make things a little easier on themselves. :)
I am very pleased with the professionalism of King David Movers which was demonstrated from my very first contact. The movers came on time and were prepared with all necessary equipment and tools. It truly took them less time than what I had anticipated originally! They were careful, neat and efficient. They explain and walk you through the process of everything, so there is no surprises! I could not be more pleased than I am with Alliance Movers! I had to call to ask for a bigger truck and an additional person for the move due to the fact that there was more items than I had realized! The 3-Movers arrived about an hour early for the move on Saturday, they looked at the job in the 3-areas involved and really got into it! They started in the Basement and were flying up the stairs with all of the box's and began loading into the truck! They even moved additional items out of the Basement for me and placed them into the Driveway! Next they went into the Garage and emptied all of the items involved including additional items! Lastly, they went back into the House and very carefully wrapped all of the Furniture and moved it into the truck! I could not believe it, they got everything into this 25' Truck all very neatly and carefully and without damage! Unbelievable! They drove to the new House and immediately began to unload the Truck! They were directed by my Wife and Sister were to put all of the items as they came off of the Truck without question! Everything was unwrapped and placed without damage! They totally cleaned up the job site and had the entire job done in 5-hours! They were then going to another job-site for another move that afternoon! I was totally impressed with the 3-men from Alliance! They were extremely courteous and very professional! They worked very well together and were a Great team! The Move went a lot better that I initially thought and it all went well and largely due to Alliance Movers!! It was a pleasing experience and I would highly recommend Alliance Movers to anyone who is looking for a Great Company to work with!!!!! Thank You!
I was scheduled for a move with another moving company and those movers cancelled. I was able to contact A New Beginning movers at the very last minute for an immediate move and transport of her belongings into storage. Although they didn't arrive on the time that we agreed on (I was told that they had another job before our moving appointment). Once they arrived, they were very professional and treated our items with care as they were packed, transported and placed into storage. Jamal (company mover) and his team were very professional and courteous. I would consider and recommend them for any future moving needs. Thanks!
Ricky did a great job helping me out. He responded promptly to the request and was immediately in touch with me via multiple communication methods. Only downside is that he was running behind due to jobs from earlier in the day and didn't communicate he was running behind. I myself was a little late in meeting at our agreed time. A call would have been nice to receive. No big deal though, the chances he would be on the minute after a day of projects is naturally unlikely. He also didn't have his partner with him so I had to help out which I didn't mind and had actually planned to so it would speed up the evening appointment. Ricky was accommodating and gave me a break on price since I had to do more helping that he intended. All in all, Ricky made for a great first Thumbtack experience and I would recommend Ricky and Thumbtack to friends.
The Specialists Moving Services, Inc. was fantastic from beginning to end. We asked for an in-person estimate for our move out of a 3-bedroom condo into a single family home. The agent, Joel, was professional and gave us a very fair price even though we were on a short time frame for the move. The four movers came on 12/28 (three days after Christmas in the snow in Chicago) on time and ready to go! Our movers were experts, friendly and gentle with our many belongings. They worked tirelessly through difficult winter moving conditions and never once complained. Our move was a very positive experience. We recommend this company highly. Ask for Jesus and Sergio!
I wish there was an option to give a 10 star rating! Earlier this year, I had a horrible experience with M&M Movers who were late, ill-prepared, broke a beautiful piece of furniture because it wasn't wrapped, and then only wanted to give $200 to fix it when the cost to fix was over $3000...and the movers loved to tell us how terrible their day had been. It was a simply awful experience. So I was extremely nervous when I had to hire movers again. Now, I will have Chicagoland Moving & Storage on speed-dial for ANYONE looking to move. They were fantastic in every way. They contacted me quickly. They were able to work with my limited schedule. They came to assess what needed moving to plan accordingly. Their movers were 15 minutes early, simply delightful, were quick but completely thorough. It was the most amazing experience. Unless you have experienced the stress of moving, you would not completely understand how important this experience was for me and my family. Thank you, everyone, at Chicagoland Moving & Storage. Everything about our moving experience with We Got You was great. From the start, Joseph was quick to respond, cordial, and professional. We settled the details of the job, and he followed up a couple of days before the job just to confirm. Of course, the afternoon before the move we found out that our truck "reservation" through another, unnamed company (u-can probably guess it) hadn't actually reserved us anything, throwing a huge wrench in our schedule. We Got You immediately accommodated the time adjustments we had to make (that's with like, 12 hours notice) and got our move plans back on track. Day of the move was great. Joseph and David showed up on time and didn't waste any time getting started. They were both competent, confident, and strong movers, and in a couple hours easily emptied an apartment that probably took a day to move into (when we did it ourselves with just friends helping). They were also very careful, both with our things and with the apartment walls. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing moving help, and for what you'll get--courteous, efficient, and quality movers--you can't beat their price. Thanks guys!
I never hire movers, which makes moving the worst and always stressful. I have a very old upright piano that has been in my family for 50 years, and while I moved it 20 years ago with some family, I hired QPM this time. All the other movers I spoke with would not give me a quote only a per hour charge and a minimum of 2 hours. QPM gave me an exact figure and worked so well with my schedule. QPM was very professional and knew what they were doing. They loaded and unloaded my upright piano with no damage to either home or the piano. They were quick, courteous, and top notch all the way. They offered to price match but no need as they were the most affordable. I really hope that I never have to move the piano again, but if I do I will reach out to QPM first.
My initial movers canceled the day off the move. After countless Google searches and Yelp reviews, not to mention the hassle of actually moving on the 1st. I was so thankful for Mobile Moving. My fiancé and I rented a truck and we're going to move everything by ourselves. After long hours we were able to move everything into the Uhaul but we're quit tired and wanted professionals to help us move everything into the new condo from the Uhaul. During my last desperation to find a movers on the day of thumtack sent me contact information for Mobile Moving and before I could send my question, Mr. Derrick had already contacted me. I had two very difficult apartments to move out of and into - a 2nd floor walk up in Chicago with a very narrow, spiral staircase, and a 4th floor walk up in NYC with very little street parking available. The movers never blamed me for the challenge either apartment presented, but conducted their work swiftly and professionally. My furniture and boxes were out of the first apartment in an hour, and made it to my new apartment in just three days despite terrible weather across the entire Northeast. During the move-in, the movers could not find any street parking within 75 feet (poor guys!), which only meant I had to pay an extra 75$ fee, which I was already made aware of as a possibility in the estimate, and the foreman handled the situation courteously and professionally. Because of the massive distance the guys had to cover from truck to apartment on this end, the move took a little over two hours, but it was no less impressive! All of my furniture was completely undamaged and the only broken thing was a bowl that I personally had failed to pack securely. I paid exactly what the estimate predicted (minus the 75 feet distance fee) and was overall pleased with the communication and process. My moving coordinator went through the estimate with me in detail beforehand, explaining certain fees that applied to my situation (in my case, both cities required shuttles (rather than large semis) on city streets so there was a fee to transfer my stuff off of/onto smaller vehicles, there was also a small fee for the flights of stairs at each location, but this was minimal). I had to add a few items of furniture three days before the move, and my coordinator drafted a new estimate for me painlessly and easily despite the last minute notice (I believe you're allowed up to 2 business days before the move to make changes). This company provided me with one of the most decently priced estimates after I had been dealing with other, larger companies that were asking for $8000 for a move that STI did for just over $2000. I highly, highly recommend their service.
We were very happy with the movers. They were on time, early actually, professional, friendly, and took care with the furniture. They were fast packing and unloading and placed the furniture were we wanted it. Jason, the sales rep., was very easy and nice to work with.
We are very happy with their effort. Nothing went wrong. We had hired Pick Up Movers for our long distance move last week. The movers were professional, punctual, efficient and very friendly. They did not break any of my delicate stuff .The moving team did a great job. The move went very well. I will definitely hire them again in future in case I plan a move.

We had a great experience working with Will and his team at V1Painting. From the start we were very impressed with Will's professionalism and responsiveness. We messaged briefly through the app and Will was able to come over that same day to provide a quote. We used V1Painting to paint the entirety, (walls, trim, ceilings) of our 2 bedroom condo and they did a great job. They ensured all the surfaces were prepped properly prior to painting and covered all of our floors and belongings from damage. At the end of the day and project they made sure to clean up after themselves and put everything back where it was originally. My husband and I were in a time crunch as we wanted to get all the painting done before we had the movers deliver our furniture. The whole process, from submitting the project to finish, took less than a week. Will was very flexible with the timing and our work schedules. He was always on time. The team did a great job. I would 100% use them again for any painting I needed done and would recommend them to others as well. I have zero complaints.
