Wedding Officiant

Phyllis and Don were wonderful to work with. They were there for us when ever we had a question and quick to respond. The wedding ceremony was beautifully officiated. I would highly recommend using them!

Wedding Officiant

Phyllis officiated our wedding, I was a nervous wreck but she was very accommodating to what we wanted, so after the ceremony was over it turned out to be a great wedding! Thank you!

Phyllis did a excellent job as our wedding officiant. She was organized and helpful prior to the ceremony and did a wonderful job at the actual event. My new wife and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Wedding Officiant

My husband and I were married by Phyllis and her husband in August. They were wonderful. Very warm, friendly and professional. They made the last minute process simple for my husband and I. This was a quick ceremony just us but we have discussed using them again for our actual wedding ceremony next year!

Wedding Officiant

We wanted a small and private ceremony, but wanted a special touch. This was our second marriage to each other, so we wanted it special but not too elaborate. We needed a venue and an officiant for our special day. All of this was provided and exceeded our expectations. With a small and reasonable fee we were welcomed in her gorgeous home and the 5 of us that attended were comfortable and at ease. Would highly recommend this officiant for ANY type of ceremony. She is flexible with scheduling and venues. She is reasonably priced, talks to you prior to ceremony and all around a sweet and caring woman! Thank you for being there on our special and loving day!!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We have several packages, starting with a "Quickie" which is just getting the job done - no frills ($75) at our place. ($100) if we come to you. The Basic Ceremony starts at $125.00+ and can be as much as $350, depending on location, size of wedding party and larger venues with 250+ guests (includes a photo, a preview of the ceremony which they can add, delete, or insert that personal vows etc; a final Printout of their ceremony in a folder as a Keepsake, info sheet on getting marriage license at County Clerk, Consultation (as much as needed), Marriage Certificate on thick paper-oversized with a gold seal and suitable for framing, Signing and Authentication of the Marriage License, Register the signed license with the proper County Clerk. We pride ourselves on personal service. Options for extra fee of $100: Rehearsal (not necessary unless there is a Wedding Party; non-professional Video $50; music (varies); microphone & amp 25; table for Unity Candle or Sand Ceremony, etc.; Day-of Coordinator (larger weddings) Canopy for couple ; for outdoors: Bridal Arch decorated w/flower/ivy/lights; Other requests: negotiable, If you have some special requests, just ask. Maybe we can accommodate them. We also work with many other wedding vendors. We can recommend those that are quality and would make a good fit for you and you can hire them independently or we can work it into a package. Medium and Large Weddings that have large wedding parties and rehearsals and more consultations can range from $150 - $400. We customize to please our clients and give a personal service.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First, making sure they are aware of the details and requirements of obtaining their Marriage License from the County Courthouse. We like to chat and get feel for their personalities and get a feel for the tone of the ceremony as they see it. We usually start giving them a copy of a typical ceremony along with some options that can be incorporated in the ceremony and let them know that they can make changes, write their own vows. If they want help with the changes, we are available for that, too. We do all that within the type of ceremony they have chosen: Religious, Non-denominational, Non-Religious, Same-Sex, Military, Spiritual, etc. We will also include other smaller ceremonies within that: Unity Candle, Sand Ceremony, Wooden Box, HandFasting, etc. So it is "all about the Couple" Or they can use the standard traditional religious ceremony, civil ceremony, non-religious ceremony, etc. But we have found that when a couple is invested in the construction of the ceremony, they are more comfortable, not as nervous, and it is more meaningful.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Phyllis played her first wedding at age 8. She went on to study music for 8-years of college, and became of Minister of Music/Pipe Organist/Pianist at several large Indiana church. Of course, part of the job was weddings and their rehearsals - my life long professional. The daughter of a seminarian minister, and the outgrowth from that lead me to the joining of her daughter and husband to add the Officiate Service.
