My husband and I have been taking ballroom dance lessons off and on for about 25 years. In that time, we’ve had many teachers. We’ve enjoyed something about all those experiences. But, Anna is the whole package! She’s a beautiful dancer, she’s an excellent teacher, she is patient, creative, and very professional. One of the things we really appreciate about her is how flexible and spontaneous she can be. Sometimes I come in with an idea of something I want to work on, without knowing the name of it or even being able to show her what it looks like. However she always knows what I’m talking about and will figure it out for me. And best of all-we always have a great time with her!

My fiance and I at the time bought a living social dance lessons package at an awesome price that helped kick start our dance lessons. Steve (the owner) was fantastic, knowledgeable, and personable. We received individual dance lessons and Steve took us through all the different dances we could possibly do or want to do and from there he listened to our first dance song and we narrowed down what dance we wanted/could do for our wedding dance. After our living social package lessons were up my fiance and I were so impressed and pleased that we ended up buying their Bronze package for 15 additional lessons! These lessons took us more in depth within our first wedding dance (which turned out to be a Viennese Waltz). Each lesson lasted one hour and after each lesson we felt we had learned more and gotten better and more knowledgeable ourselves about dancing. When our wedding came we slam dunked our first dance and still our guests say that was the biggest surprise of our wedding (because we didn't tell anybody we were taking dance lessons) and that they had never seen a better first dance. My husband and I felt at ease after having our dancing lessons and more confident about dancing in general. The instructors really go at your pace and give examples, feedback, and make it fun! I have watched our first wedding dance about 50 times and still smile and feel proud at the end of it. What made this experience even better was how proud, enthusiastic, and excited Steve was about our first dance as well. Now that our wedding is over my husband and I are still going back to dance lessons and are excited to learn other dances and show those off to our friends and family as well. After researching all different dance studios that provide first wedding dance lessons, this was by far the best! I have loved every minute of it and would do it again in a heartbeat!!! I would recommend "Get on the Floor Dance Company" to anyone I talked to!!! After all, they truly did make me feel like Cinderella at my wedding during our first dance! We twirled around and I was on top of the world!!!

My wife and I have been taking lessons from Tsha for 3 years now. We both have taken our dancing to new heights with Tshas skillful knowledge and experience. The process has been challenging and fun and as newlyweds she has helped us build a stronger connection through her intricate detailed explanation of partnering and dance technique.

We met Charles when we were looking for a dance instructor to choreograph and teach us a dance routine for our wedding. Charles did it in 4 days! He helped us pick the music, edited it and came up with a dance routine pretty much right then and there. He also accommodated our schedule. I couldn't recommend Charles enough, truly a professional and very personable.

There are misconceptions that line dancing is all about cowboys and country and western. Yes, there is country and western but Rita Svane makes it look cool, and easy. Rita's style is encouraging and you feel she is talking just to you. Her teaching is excellent in its clarity; steps are taught in short blocks that are gradually put together to create the main frame of the dance, which makes it easier to learn from. I always enjoy the different sorts of music Rita chooses for the dances and her instruction moves are very well thought out. I believe she shows a true reflection of what line dancing is today.

About

Movement is for everyone. If you've ever wanted to learn ballet and you are of any age, male or female, or perhaps you have a physical disability you feel keeps you from moving, let me help you dance. I've specialized in mixed abilities and have been dancing for 17 years and believe in a holistic approach to teaching movement.

About

I meet my students/clients at the level they are at. I want to make sure they look good doing the movement and most importantly making sure they are comfortable with it. I will challenge my students/clients but I will not push them to do something they are not comfortable with. I love choreographing dances and watching my students improve in their technique.

About

With me dance is never restricted!! I take all styles and aspects of dance and fuse them together although I am primarily hip-hop you will learn everything from ballet moves to contemporary, jazz, jive, modern and so much more!! While also getting a great workout and thanks you know your body a lot more while learning great health tips!! Dance is in my blood and bones, I breath, sleep and eat dance haha!!! And I just love performing all around, some of the best things are when I look at the crowd and I see you smile enjoy on their faces!!! And then there's the teaching aspect I love teaching somebody how to extend their passion in their knowledge of dance because dance in around since the beginning of time!! And I would hate to see this art fade away so I want to inspire people to carry on the legacy of dance!!!

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much do dance lessons cost?

Adults who want to learn to dance, whether to prepare for a wedding or to meet new people, often enjoy taking dance lessons from an experienced dance instructor. Instructors may offer classes one-on-one to individual students or couples, or to small groups. The national average cost for a dance instructor ranges from $30 to $50. Some studios offer a discounted introductory lessons or group lessons, as well as package deals that are more affordable than paying for individual lessons. Some dance instructors will travel to the student’s home, which usually costs more, while others hold small-group sessions in their studios. If you choose a small-group class, expect to pay less than for individual dance lessons.
