i love what i do. people want to change the look of their furniture or kitchen. their furniture is always special because of a connection to the past or someone or an event. my job is simple. make it beautiful. im always worried just before i deliver the completed project. im worried because i want my work to exceed the customer expectations. i guess its magic. the customers always love the new look.

Dan did a fine job chalk painting and distressing a large pine dresser in our master bedroom that had been stained "red maple"; a piece large enough that I did not want to tackle it myself. He put a lot of work into it and the finish feels like satin. I have been doing a fair amount of chalk painting myself lately and, although I use a paint that requires little or no prep (Annie Sloan), the work Dan did has a much nicer finish than my DIY pieces.

Daniel showed up on time. He was very friendly and helped me decide the best way way to place cabinet knobs and pulls in my kitchen and bathroom. He did a wonderful job. We couldn’t be more pleased.

Daniel transformed my ugly honey oak cabinets into a beautiful, updated white. Also turned the built-in desk white too. He's an excellent craftsman and really cares about his work. When I had new countertops installed, the installers noticed the builder cut corners and didn't build the back of the cabinets - there wasn't enough support for the granite. Daniel came to the rescue and built the needed support - fast. I can't thank him enough.

Daniel did a great job and is very thorough in his work. He pays attention to detail and the complete job is exactly what we expected. He installed kitchen cabinets/sink/countertop in an apartment for us as well as fixed a toilet issue. We had a side issue come up at our house during this work and he offered (and did) come there as well. Would def hire again.

no. each item or kitchen is different. each customer is different.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
just talk. every customer is different with different hopes and dreams or needs. if i can understand those thoughts i can usually work it out for them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I subscribe to every design magazine available. I am looking for interesting colors, textures, finishes, style changes. Ideas that combine new with existing. i have had more years experience than i want to admit to. i have studied with historic windsor chair makers and historic wood turners. i have also studied with historic methods of furniture finishes.
