Chris was great to work with. He was both professional and personable. His rates were reasonable, and he did a great job on our fireplace wall, saving me from having to be on a very high ladder! I would not hesitate to use him again in the future.

Christopher Plaaten is a stand up guy. His wife gave birth to their second son during the time he was painting the entire interior of my home to get it ready for move-in and I was quickly approaching deadline. He managed to spend four days with her and his boys through the labor and hospital stay, and then he was right back to work on my home.
He was absolutely unfazed by the added stress and excitement. This thoroughly impressed me, but I was even more so impressed with the quality of his work. Even with having a baby in the midst of it, the guy finished my whole home (about 2300 sqft) two days before my move in which allowed me time to get all my switch and outlet covers installed and a few other things I needed to do!!!
I’ll be using Plaaten Painting for all my painting needs.

My project entailed the repair and staining of a wooden deck and pergola. Chris arrived each day as he said he would. He was very professional and knew exactly how to handle the project. He went above call as I needed some extra help moving some heavy items on the deck. (He even offered to come back and help me put them back in place.) I highly recommend his services.
Exterior trim, door and gutters looked great. Helped sell the house!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer 10% off for emergency responders and veterans.
Interiors: I pretty much have base rates for each type of room, that includes minor drywall repairs. Ceilings above 8ft the rate slightly increases.
Exteriors: The exterior is measured out, there's a rate for siding and a rate for trim.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I'll walk through with the homeowner and explain in detail what I'll be doing, the process and what to expect as far as how day to day progress will go. Then I'll send a formal estimate later in the day, and I'm always available for questions you might have.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been painting for 20 years. I've painted apartments, small and large homes, interior and exterior, stained fences, decks, playsets.
