- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We built a 13 ft. by 13 ft. patio fire pit on the back right-hand side of a customers back yard. They just had an enormous inground pool installed by Pool city so there was a rather steep grade coming down off the pool. When the project started we were looking at a 9 x 9 patio fireplace but as the project developed they wanted something much larger. We were already maxed out to the back property line so we had to come into the grade to widen the patio. Once we did we then realized that we definitely have to have a retention wall so without missing a beat we designed a 3 ft. high retention wall with caps to border two sides of the patio. On top of all that going on we had a one week deadline because our customer was having a party the following Weekend when we started. We also laid 6000 ft.² of sod and installed metal edging, 30 ornamental grasses, and 7 yards of river rock. Come Friday night about 9 PM when the sun started to go down we still had the actual fire pit to glue together, quite a bit of sod to lay, and a couple drains to extend an cover up. We stayed on site and finished everything until 1:30 a.m. to make sure our customers party was a success and that it was. Not only did we work until 10 o'clock every night that week and stayed over untill 1:30 AM that Friday we never sacrificed quality one time and they said there was nothing but gracious comments and interview for the patio fireplace especially. Call, that is what we do here at a touch of heaven landscapes. We take care of our customers at all cost and stick by our word.
