- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
WELL I HAVE TO SAY, THUMBTACK CAN BE COMPLICATED, ANYTIME YOU CANT GET A STRAIGHT EYE-ON LOOK AT A PROJECT YOU ARE TAKING A CHANCE,WHEN I FILL OUT MY BID SHEETS I ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO WRITE. NOTE; THIS BID DOES NOT INCLUDE EXTRA SERVICE THAT MAY HAPPEN, THATS NOT WORD FOR WORD BUT YOU GET THE IDEA, ALWAYS BE PREPARED FOR THINGS THAT MAY COME UP AND AS LONG AS YOU COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR CLIENT AND THEM YOU, THERE ARE ALWAYS SURPRISES IN THE FIELD AND AS LONG AS ITS ALL OUT ON THE TABLE MOST OF THE TIME IT ALL WORKS OUT

GOD YES, WHEN I WAS YOUNG, DO YOU REMEMBER THE COUNTER TOPS?? YOU HAD TWO CHOICES, WHITE OR ALMOND & SIX CHOICES OF PEEL LAMINATE AND LIMITED PAINT COLORS, WHAT HAS HAPPEN IN THE HOME IMPROVEMENT AREA IS AMAZING CLIENTS TODAY HAVE SO MANY THINGS TO CHOOSE FROM, SPARE TIME?? I CAN'T COUNT THE TRAINING SHOWS AND MAGAZINES I HAVE VERY MUCH ENJOYED STUDYING, ON A SLOW DAY AT LOWES OR HOME DEPOT (MY FAVORITE) I WILL SPEND HOURS WITH THE SALES PEOPLE AND ASKING ABOUT NEW PRODUCTS AND JUST WALKING THE ISLES READING THE BACK OF BOXES TO KEEP UP, TRUST ME IF ANYONE SAYS THEY KNOW IT ALL, THEY ARE CRAZY, NO ONE COULD
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
BEEN DOING IT WITH MY DAD WHEN I WAS VERY YOUNG AND OVER THE YEARS HAD MANY RENTAL PROPERTIES OF MY OWN, WE WHERE IN THE FLORAL/CATE BUSINESS FOR 18YRS, FOR 18YRS I DID SOMETHING I DIDN'T ENJOY, 2006 SOLD EVERYTHING, I I SAID I AM GOING TO DO WHAT I LOVE, STARTED WORKING WITH OTHER HANDYMEN AND GATHERED UP ALLOT OF CLIENTS WHEN THEY WOULD STOP DOING IT OR MOVE AWAY,THEN WORD OF MOUTH STARTED AND I WAS OFF AND RUNNIN.THAT WILL HAPPEN HERE, I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN WILLING TO WORK HARD TO GET WHERE I WOULD LIKE TO BE.
